Ordered 8/3. Picked up 9/14. Car looked beautiful. Took it straight to a detailer for PPF, tint, chrome delete and more. Get the car back in a week!

I picked up 8/14 and it went straight to tint and PPF. Very smart of you to install PPF immediately when new.

I leaned this from reading these forums. There is quite alot of great info on here. Plus, California roads are notorious for debris, and I didn't want to risk getting the car damaged beforehand.

I actually asked the “break-in” question during delivery of our black/black P3D and he said there’s nothing to do. Probably should take that recommendation with a grain of salt...

Break in involves doing a few 0-60 runs. You should be good after that. Just make sure you get a couple of those in everyday.

Ordered another car Thursday. Got a VIN in source code IMMEDIATELY after order placed. We'll see how long this one takes....

I'm wondering how many others are feeling the same thing in 2020. Refreshing the source code every 15 minutes and still not seeing VIN updates is excruciating.

I wouldn’t bother checking code at this point. Based on recent accounts (and according to what my Delivery Center is telling me), as soon as you’re matched with a vehicle, the delivery team is notified and you’ll get a delivery notification. People are reporting not seeing anything in code and they’re account page not changing until they get a delivery notification. Before I changed my config this week, Tesla told me my car would be delivered in the next 5-7 days and I had no VIN.

That said, I still check my own code constantly.
