Any word on a grand opening event for Wisconsin superchargers?

still nothing official, id like to hold a event t the madison location, more choices of where to go what to eat, and save a mauston/dells one for when the weather warms, as i have some VERY fun things in store for that one, but just about everythings closed during winter. will update shortly on that!

Any explanation why there are 3 stalls?
Turns out mall owners decided to only allow 3! :(

Dont see why, especially sinse space and conduit is already set for 6/8.....

I'm thinking about driving from northern VA (DC metro) to Hayward, WI this summer. It looks completely feasible using the SC network, but I will need to charge a bit in Hayward to make it back to Eau Claire. There doesn't seem to any public chargers in that area. I may have to resort to an RV park.

Anyone live out that way and have any other ideas? I will be staying over night for one night. A motel with a 240v outlet would work.

As I have confirmed my plans to go to Detroit for the auto show I will attempt to get to Madison tomorrow.

Expect updates on both the SC and also travel updates in Tesla Supercharger Network Travel Guide. I will also document the highland park, both Indiana chargers, and the Toledo sc on the way, the Cleveland I will do end of feb on the way to Niagara Falls.

Be safe, take your time! I can't wait for the videos!!!!

Watch where you park. It is impossible to get good parking during the show, and I have had friends whose cars were broken into. Downtown Detroit can be dicey

Yep. At least I won't need to charge. I can get to Detroit from the Toledo Supercharger, and I should have enough to get back to Toledo with about 20 miles to spare. I may find a free level 2, like at the Casino and just juice up for a hour and get a extra 15-20 mile buffer. Leaving Milwaukee Friday night after I feed Midget #2 (Midget #1 will be staying with Grandma and Grandpa), then hit the road. Should arrive by about 6 am morning, just in time for Midget #2 to wake up. Take him for breakfast, and then drive back to Milwaukee, and be home by 10pm Saturday :) It will be a great "tester" trip to see how things perform for the Niagara Trip. I will nap at the superchargers. Since I will have time to spare on the way their, so we arrive a few hours before the show opens (purchasing tickets in advance online), I think I will range charge at the Mishawaka charger and then I definitely will need to at Toledo (just opened Yesterday!) so that I have enough for round trip back to Toledo.

your best bet is a campground with rv facilities.. call ahead to find out what kind of plugs they have and make or buy the correct one. I've made a 6-50 but haven't had a chance to try it just yet. They aren't hard, but be sure to set your charge rate appropriately if you make something other than what the plug on the UMC is rated for.
