Yellow screen? Force Tesla to Replace it!

Picked up the car... Both screens look great! MCU- cured, IC-replaced. Other issues fixed
I must say, the whole experience was good, the only thing the car wasn't washed -, but I count my blessings, guess since I got my MS, my expectations are lower somewhat... They gave me the loaner, the car was ready as promised. Didn't get the invoice yet, will post when and if...

Thanks for sharing... it appears that the main touchscreen was treated with UV and only the dash screen was replaced.

Had mine repaired in Columbus this week post NCDS decision. UV machine did not work, they replaced the screen. All marked warranty.

call me crazy but with all this talk of the yellow border when i look at the 75d 2017 we have sometimes i think i see it and other times i dont see it. Could i be imagining it? I mean what the best way to look at the screen(setting wise ) to see if its really there?

For me, the two easiest ways to see it are:

1) Screen off or black, and direct sunlight
2) Screen white

Yeah, that should do it, as long as you've also got bright sunlight shining directly on the screen.

We know from real-world user experience that once the yellowing starts that it will get progressively worse...

Mine is a 2017 also. As this thing gets worse, it gets more depressing to look at. Initially the night mode made it tough to see. Now, not so much.

Car is currently at Tesla getting the UV treatment, apparently the first car to be done in Australia, took a while for them to get up and running after receiving the machine as apparently it needed to be modified from LHD cars to work on RHD cars, will report back with photos/details this afternoon.

Remember - his car is also upside down and the UV photons swirl counter clockwise.

Well in Model S/X the screen is angled towards the driver, so I expect it clamps to the dashboard and is aligned with the screen, so you’d have to modify for the screen angle for RHD cars?
