I bought a brand new Curt tow hitch for my Roadster when it was at Gruber's, but my Roadster never came back 😢. So... Anyone want a tow hitch for your Roadster? I was going to use it to haul my mountain bike to the trails. I bought it for $100 from a fellow TMC member. I'd love to get $100...
I had a similar conversation with Jessica @ Secura yesterday. Although she said they would not be able to pay out 100% on the cars, due to lack of sufficient coverage. She strongly suggested I go through my insurance.
I replaced mine with these aluminum knobs I got at Radio Shack. I had to drive to multiple stores to acquire 4. I always thought they looked better than the originals, even if they were just a touch too large.
Confirming #265. I was the 2nd owner. I bought it off eBay in November 2014. I'm proud to say it was no garage queen. I "drove it like I stole it" most of the time. I bought it with 11,698 miles and it burned with 65,431 miles on the odometer. What a fantastic car.
I'm in for 2!

I have two soft tops, and have now replaced all of the original cables with these more robust cables: MWR Convertible Top Tension Cable (1) - Lotus Elise 05-15
I would use one top until a cable broke, switch tops, order a new cable, replace, rinse & repeat.
The final result for my 1.5 was:
Low beams: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PR1NTWM
And a resistor: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BMZG1XM
The seller, Senlite, apologized for the decoder mishap, but returning those was easy enough.
Probably unrelated... But the FM reception...
I finally pulled my pump, scraped off all the black silicone, and opened it up. About a teaspoon of water came out. I dried and cleaned the board. It had no visible damage that I could see. In fact, it looked great. I reassembled and did a quick test and it's working. What would you guys...
A friend and I went to Cars & Coffee in Lafayette, CO last Saturday. We were pulling in and deciding who to park next to when we noticed another Roadster! I know you California people see them all the time, but it's pretty rare to spot another in the wild in Colorado. It was pretty exciting...
I swapped only the low beam bulb for the LEDs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PR1NTWM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The low beams come on as they should, but I still get the warning "Check left low beam bulb" #530 as well as the right low beam bulb message. Thoughts on...
My pump just went out Saturday. Luckily, I was very near home and live at the top of a hill -- easy to make it back to the garage.
From Plundy's pictures, it seems like the pump is below the driver's headlight. I'm hoping it's just wet from washing it, but after a day of sitting it still...
My driver's side stock low beam finally went out. I was about to replace with the xenon version, when I ran across this thread. Thanks mpt for the link! I ordered some and will give a 2nd opinion when they arrive. I didn't get anything to replace the high beams as I almost never use them...
My Roadster has only been at the TSC for a new 400V Controller for 2 weeks. But OVMS says it's been parked for 18136 days. I feel like my Roadster is saying "Geez, I haven't been driven in like... 50 years!" ;-)
I just returned from dropping someone off at DIA and had to take the Leaf for various reasons. I thought I'd grab 45 minutes of L2 charging while I helped my passenger to security. Five of the 11 L2 spots on the west side were ICEd. Three L2 spots had EVs that were plugged in. The remaining...
I ended up having the Denver Service Center fix mine when I went in for my annual service. They replaced it under goodwill. Although I was charged $718 for the annual service and $2200 for the AC compressor.

I concur. I used to mash the pedal on the exit and it would ultimately cost time due to slipping. Now I've learned to restrain myself.
I've never had a problem with overheating at an autoX event. Not even close. Even when I took a class and we did a lot more driving than a typical autoX...
Hey, Puzzle. I live in Arvada, about 20 minutes from Boulder. I have an MC240 that you can borrow if you have a NEMA 14-50 outlet handy. And if I can figure out how to redeem my referrals to get a Model S wall charger, I'll sell you my Roadster High Power Wall charger. I'd rather use the...
The previous owner of #265 had the $6K adjustable sport suspension put in. I absolutely LOVE it. I was able to adjust the sway bars to dial out some understeer which made mountain driving more enjoyable. I used to take mine autocrossing, and was able to firm-up the suspension without tools...
Hi Chris, I own #265 and I'm in Arvada, about 20 minutes from Boulder. Holler if you ever want to meet up for a fun drive! I'm off Highway 93, near Highway 72 (Coal Creek Canyon) -- which is a pretty fun drive.
Another fun drive is the peak to peak highway from Nederland into Estes Park...
About 5 to 10 years in prison? I believe that's a crime against humanity. ;-) . And here I argue with my insurance... they want me to keep it to 3000 miles per year or less. Um, nope. :-D
I'm pretty sure the Drive eO guys did that in 2014 for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb: Drive eO Returns to Pikes Peak with Bespoke Tesla Roadster – Drive eO. We really need to get the plans from these guys.
I got similar knobs in silver aluminum from Radio Shack a few years ago. Unfortunately, I do not have the part number. They fit the .25" and are about 1" in diameter. I wish they were slightly smaller, but they are very solid.
Sorry, Steve. We are expecting to get a lot more for the sale of our house than expected, so we've decided to keep #265. <whew!> Thanks for the interest, though! Let me know when you get yours. I'd be happy to meet up for a drive!
I noticed mine was sagging this past Monday when I went to wash it. I hope to get it up on the Rhino ramps this weekend and verify it's the bracket in question. @supersnoop, how hard was it to replace?
I'm running the Pilot Super Sports in the back and already have 11,000 miles on them. I'll see if I can get a tread depth measurement, but they still look fantastic, and have very little road noise. I estimate they have another 6000 miles left. However... I did zero autocrossing this summer...
It might be time to sell my Roadster. We are buying a new house and spent too much money.

I saw a lady in a Radiant Red Sport Friday 8/4 @ 8:20a in downtown Denver. I rarely get to see them in the wild. That was the first time I've seen radiant red in person and pictures do not do that color justice. It's beautiful.
If you are on the forums, PM ViviV or myself. We are planning a...
I'm with Msjulie... My PEM temp hangs out at the highest end of blue even when I'm doing similar drives. I've encountered motor temperature warnings, but never PEM.
I just had a gouge in my rear quarter panel fixed at my local non-Tesla body shop, but mine was minor so they didn't have to remove it. I was the unlucky recipient of some bouncing metal chunks flying down the highway. I had the front bumper replaced, the front air intake screen, some of the...
It's exactly the same as far as I can tell. Just no fob buttons. I've only used it twice. Once when I first got the car and was confused as to why a valet key would open the trunk. Then the other day when I re-tested it to make sure I hadn't mis-remembered.
