I do agree. It is almost too busy of a spot. When I was there 75% of the chargers were blocked with vehicles with trailers.

Two chargers I tried on right side weren’t working but charger 3B working right now. Buccees is crazy busy. Great spot.

Yep okay. I did similar, was on hold till Jan 1 but auto released around that time frame. I was assigned a VIN Jan 10th. Made up some excuses of travel but they are like "no problem, we will hold the car till you are back."

Well I got a VIN about 8 hours after clicking "I'm Ready". 354xxx Scheduled for Jan 17-23. Once SA reaches out, I will ask about Ryzen chip. I plan on keeping this car forever so hopefully I get it else I may ask for next matching vehicle, we will see if they allow it.

Model 3 VIN start with 1 and MY are 3 (at this present time). SA don't know anything in my opinion, the saying mid-2022 is just dumb. They have no idea they are just saying that so you don't try to delay your order.

Just saw this in Model Y user manual (link: Model Y Owner's Manual | Tesla) At least it is acknowledged from Tesla, they are switching the Car PCs this year. It will just be a matter of luck if you are getting delivery in coming months whether you get it.

I am starting to think they put the new MCUs into a production day's worth of cars because of a part shortage on MCU2. Given builds in the last 2 weeks still have MCU2, they still have to use all of the them before switching to MCU3.

Yes in same boat. Hold-auto release (TBD delivery dates) - auto hold with no date I haven’t clicked I am ready. Planning on doing it this weekend, I don’t want delivery in January if possible

Let us know when you get a date. In same boat, I have a no-date hold right now. I might just call Tesla to see what the deal is before releasing. Was hoping to wait one more week to get a slightly better chance at new cpu but also not worth losing the locked in price.

It could be 30-60 days until they are using the new board in all builds. There are only like 5 reports of the new board.

Quite peculiar on how few reports of new MCU there are. It is like they did a test run with some being installed to be monitored for some time.

FB guy just updated his post from 399xxx to 339xxx. More reasonable but it is clear VIN is not enough to figure out what MCU you will get. We have reports of 346xxx and 347xxx not having it.

There There are more than enough people not on-hold that will take delivery.

399xxx seems a bit wild to be honest. That is almost 50,000 higher than other VIN recorded.

In same camp, had hold until 12/31. It was automatically removed today and have a TBD delivery date. We will see what it shows tomorrow.
