    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

On the 22nd of March I saw the inspection Models 3s on the Gold Coast heading south from Brisbane. I suspect they used one of the Brisbane based compliance engineers like Bruce Gearing. I took pics of the 2 x model 3s. At the time I posted the pics on QLD Tesla Whatsapp group. The SUTI is the...

Low pitch rattle coming from front - no fix available?

Does the vibration appear to originate from the drivers side only for all members? Mine appears to originate from Drivers side (Oz delivered so right hand side). Wondering if US cars vibration is on left side? (drivers side) If everyone is getting from drivers side this may help pinpoint...

Low pitch rattle coming from front - no fix available?

I have had same issue on my June 2016 75D refresh since delivery and have noticed on brand new test drives as well. I believe it actually may be the mechanism that vibrates for lane departure warnings? It appears to be the almost identical vibrations although not as high frequency as when...

POLL: What is your long term average wh/mile (minimum 10,000 miles)?

Mid 260s? wh/mi for me. Interestingly less since uncork about 3779km ago!

    Lifetime Average Wh/mi

I have recorded average since getting uncorked in 75D. Despite putting the foot flat to the floor more often my average has dropped to 159wh/km (255wh/mi) since uncork and is 166wh/km (265wh/mi) for lifetime after 37,000km.

Have you been uncorked? Post your impressions!

Had mine uncorked Wednesday. Loved the car before but now it's like dating all over again after being married for a long time. It's zippier at low speeds and appears to be more sensitive to dabs on the accelerator pedal. Feels more like a race car or street bike. Definitely launches harder...

Was uncorked today at Tesla Brisbane.....was 70D upgraded to 75D some time back, June 2016 build VIN 132###. Ran power tools and putting out 335kw (used to be 273kw.) Can't get accurate 0-100km(62.5mph) yet as the phone now keeps flying around. So good of Tesla to upgrade our cars for...

75D owners - How much does a full charge show for you?

My 100% is 289 miles (466km) on rated range setting. I think the calibration may be different on Oz delivered cars. I can and have driven approx 265 miles on several occasions from 100% charge.

Does anyone ever get rated range?

My lifetime average is a little above rated but its easy for me to beat rated in good conditions. I remember working out rated was 159wh/km in my 75D but this could be different in other countries? My lifetime average has just dropped to 167wh/km

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

75d is very good value given its efficiency and now better performance (hopefully on older builds soon) In Oz the 100D with identical spec to 75D is $42,900 more expensive. So IMO don't mind paying a little to upgrade the performance.

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

My run was definite error but notice the Max Kw rating by comparison Rsan vs mine. 357kw vs my 276kw so Rsan's has a power upgrade. My car consistently runs around 275kw max over the past year.

Any guesses on how the performance upgrade may affect our efficiency? I'm currently on lifetime average of 168wh/km (269wh/mi?) and have found the 75D a very efficient all-rounder with good acceleration balanced with excellent range. Anyone with the upgrade got any figures yet?

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

I'd pay for performance upgrade to get my 75D up to the current specs just like I paid to upgrade from 70 to 75. Dropping a second is a big deal! Aftermarket post warranty tweaks will happen in the future as more cars age and drop off warranty. Will open new business opportunities.

Just a Place Keeper to See if I Am Right About the Future of AP1
