Zeebrugge schedule shows Brooklands leaving at 18:00 on March 4. Southampton schedule shows it arriving at 05:30 on March 6. It really takes almost 36 hours to make that journey?
Pretty impressive that, if you ordered Jan 27 it was loaded in Houston to leave on Feb 24th. My theory therefore if my order was 8 days later on feb 4th I’ve probably got to the Maersk Montana loading in Houston as we speak. If that’s true I’d know by the end of the week that I’ve been matched so we shall see

Why was it not possible beforehand? How would the cars have got over here, would it have unloaded them all in Zeebrugge? It looks like the GLOVIS CAPTAIN has had a schedule change - whereas previously it wouldn't be possible for it to visit Southampton after Zeebrugge, it may now be possible. Which is nice.
Still some digging to do though....

Okay, that would’ve been hectic, rushing around to get them over here and sold before the end of the quarter! It wasn't possible because it was going elsewhere. It would have unloaded them all in Zeebrugge and the UK ones would be crossloaded on to another vessel to Southampton - it happened many times like that last year.

I was always expecting it to arrive in Southampton on the 6th so I think that is more accurate. Originally you may recall the BROOKLANDS was due to arrive into Zeebrugge on the 29 Feb!
No that's not how the accounting works - they need to deliver to recognise the revenue.Wouldn’t the invoice date matter to Tesla rather than the delivery date? They’ll be sending out the final invoices for Glovis before the end of the month I presume.

Edit: their financial statements specifically state "We recognize revenue on automotive sales upon delivery to the customer, which is when the control of a vehicle transfers."
my interest stemmed from watching the monster LNG ships arrive into Milford Haven when on holiday near there
