In my experience it happens when using the phone key and just opening the door fully with it, when the car is asleep. It lets you open the door, but I’m guessing is slow to realise the phone key is there, so the alarm goes off.
As said above If you press on the handle and just pop the door, but not open it properly until a couple of seconds or so later, the alarm doesn’t seem to go off.
It also doesn’t go off if I unlock it with the fob before opening the door.
I had an open service request for this but Tesla closed it after saying “the logs show nothing”. It is the case that the car doesn’t register the alarm as having gone off, nor do I get an alert on my phone. Tesla said as far as they could see nothing strange had happened (which is disconcerting in its own way)
