Out of curiosity, if a RoRo uses nearly 2M gallons of maritime fuel for the Shanghai to Europe trip, divided by the c.5000 Teslas on board, how many miles would we need to cover on our ‘green’, electric cars to offset that vs a UK/EU built vehicle?

Its been a long few months hasn't it.Out of curiosity, if a RoRo uses nearly 2M gallons of maritime fuel for the Shanghai to Europe trip, divided by the c.5000 Teslas on board, how many miles would we need to cover on our ‘green’, electric cars to offset that vs a UK/EU built vehicle?
Assuming an average of 40mpg for the average ICE car, 16,000 miles each at 5000 of us should do it!Out of curiosity, if a RoRo uses nearly 2M gallons of maritime fuel for the Shanghai to Europe trip, divided by the c.5000 Teslas on board, how many miles would we need to cover on our ‘green’, electric cars to offset that vs a UK/EU built vehicle?
Or compared to an ICE on top of the fuel for the ship immediately burning it's own dinosaurs, your Tesla will have immediate zero emission influenceOut of curiosity, if a RoRo uses nearly 2M gallons of maritime fuel for the Shanghai to Europe trip, divided by the c.5000 Teslas on board, how many miles would we need to cover on our ‘green’, electric cars to offset that vs a UK/EU built vehicle?
Did Tesla ever try using the rail link from China to Europe (belt and road) for a greener option?Or compared to an ICE on top of the fuel for the ship immediately burning it's own dinosaurs, your Tesla will have immediate zero emission influence
(sorry veering off topic... reeling things back in.........)
Is it really that much for a trip?Out of curiosity, if a RoRo uses nearly 2M gallons of maritime fuel for the Shanghai to Europe trip, divided by the c.5000 Teslas on board, how many miles would we need to cover on our ‘green’, electric cars to offset that vs a UK/EU built vehicle?
Nope. The Tesla requirement is too large for the railway option.Did Tesla ever try using the rail link from China to Europe (belt and road) for a greener option?
I glanced up and sure enough, she's just this moment hauled up, speed 0kts, and dropped anchor. Her in transit symbol just changed to static, and looks like she's over near the 'Marina East' section of the coastline.I'm hoping she drops her hook and a refuelling barge promptly turns up so she can suckle away for 8 hours or so and be on her way again.
I’ve only found this forum in the last 24hrs and I’ve been converted into 100% Tesla boat nerd. Last thing from my lease company was an expected date of 10/5 with no new update. This is all v interesting!Suckling now underway ……
Is your expectation there will be another …. wave ….. of hidden VIN matching once HORIZON LEADER sails?HORIZON LEADER is preparing to depart to Singapore (for a refuel).
If she is heading for Southampton she could arrive around 23 Jun at standard speeds.
Yes but if RCC EUROPE is primarily UK cars, I would expect HORIZON LEADER to be primarily EU cars.Is your expectation there will be another …. wave ….. of hidden VIN matching once HORIZON LEADER sails?
Will we need to wait until Suez before knowing the destination?Yes but if RCC EUROPE is primarily UK cars, I would expect HORIZON LEADER to be primarily EU cars.
If she heads to Koper she could be there by 18 Jun, but I'm hoping for another ship to do the final Koper run.
I think so, it looks like ships have Suez as their destination whilst heading there.. after Suez their next stop will be published on our trackers.. (hopefully). Will we need to wait until Suez before knowing the destination?
God damn you guys are on itRCC EUROPE - NEWS UPDATE (again)
As predicted by Mr M

Carrera confirmed as a Tesla ship?Good afternoon, I have been tweaking the ship position map, I can now apply regular updates and I have added some more data which may be interesting. Happy tracking Tesla ships - Google My Maps
No…. just Mr M mentioned it yesterday which was enough for me to be excited and add it. Do bear in mind my shipping knowledge is zero!Carrera confirmed as a Tesla ship?
