6 weeks since MX confirmation - account page still says "scheduled for production in our factory"

Such a shame to have sush inconsistencies in employees professionalism. Mine has been responding quickly each time. Only thing is that at times I clearly know more about the company and the processes than her.

We recently purchased an S100D and our other DS was very responsive (maybe I should email her).

On a more exciting note, my X just went into production today!! :)

:( I feel left out. >30d "scheduled for production". At this rate I'll be waiting 'til Xmas.

Ordered on 9/14/18. (100D, 5 seat, pearl white, 20" silver wheels). No response from DS for weeks. Called Tesla Support, they reached out. No response. Tried again with Tesla Support. Finally, last week DS responded. Pick up on Nov. 18th in Santa Barbara. Vin #132xxx.

Account page has indicated "scheduled for production in our factory" for over 5 weeks with no changes even with the scheduled delivery notice from DS. Hope all is well with the delivery.

I ordered mine on 10/23, confirmed on 10/27. DS would not respond to text or emails and if I call the Tesla showroom directly talk nicely and act as no text or email was ever rcvd by her. Is this normal behavior?
Just yesterday she told me that I've not been assigned a delivery specialist but today morning when I logged in to Tesla a/c I had a name and email pop-up (of the delivery specialist).

I had called 800# earlier to change an option and they had suggested to wait till a delivery specialist is assigned and then make a change so hoping that the delivery specialist can help.

Hoping I can get the X before end of month. Any insight from others would be helpful.

Thanks

Anyone noticed the price change today for Model X 100D. Base Price decreased by $500 and Cream/Black/White Premium interiors are a $1,500 now from $3,300 previously.

For the ones who are waiting for the Production Start/Scheduled for Production or Delivery, should we be asking our DS to adjust the Final Order price based on above decreases? Will they do it?

Call your showroom's delivery manager; they have typically been the most insightful resource for me personally.

I'd suggest looking at the Model X tracking sheet, where customers have input their order information, to get a sense of how long the process would take: Model X Order/Delivery Tracking - Google Sheet

In short, I think it's going to be a stretch to have your X before the end of the month. It's typically 40-50 days of lead time before completion, longer for delivery depending where you are.

I noticed that too. Just took delivery of my X on Thursday and the price is now $2300 less due to the included black premium. Seems to me they raised base price by $1000 and took off the $3300 black premium interior cost. I feel we should get a credit??

I kind of feel that too. I might have felt differently if my car was already delivered, but mine has been waiting for almost 2mo now since confirmation and hasn't gone into production yet. DS has not responded to emails since initial contact though.

My delivery schedule is similar to yours @dog_car

Ordered 9/15/19 (75d, midnight grey, 5 seat black leather, 22" rims) Scheduled pickup for 11/20/18 in Burbank so I'm 8 days out but the car is shown to still be "scheduled for production in factory" VIN# 132xxx

I've seen in other posts that some cars were built within 3 days and delivered 2 days after that but not sure how common that is.

Would love to hear updates as you get them!

We ordered a X100D on Sep 27. Missed out on the unlimited supercharge since we don't use Twitter and don't follow Tesla news. Tesla sales didn't mention it, and communicated in email stating unlimited charging. Not much is done to compensate our disappointment.

As of today, no delivery confirmation yet. But price has dropped by 3800 for my configuration. :( Called and they said manager will call me us back.

Never felt so frustrated in buying a new car. Hopefully they can get their acts together and not change pricing and features like a two year old.

Found an inventory MX and worked with Store to get that order changed. Now Delivery is Dec 2nd. Unsure if I can get price adjustment and I cant change this order to a new order anyways (tesla wont allow plus if I do so I may not get anything till 12/31 and lose on tax credit.

they are taking 4 weeks to bring MX from Southern CA to Bay area, kinda lame but I am happy as I will be getting the config I wanted.

Thanks

Once production was complete, payment/paperwork/delivery took no time at all. My X was ready for pickup 2 days ago. They were originally estimating pickup after Thanksgiving, but I guess it arrived early.

I would not expect the price changing to every stop. Tesla is constantly changing configurations and pricing. In the 3 months it took to get our car the configuration changes twice. The original interior color combination disappeared and we were "upgraded to cream and light oak" and lease terms changed. It turned out the colors look much better than what we ordered and test drove, and the lease dropped $75/mo.

My MX ordered early October is in production... on track to take delivery Nov 21 .

Ordered 10/6
Production started on Nov 13 and finished Nov 17.
In Transit Nov 18.

Website status now:
"Your Tesla has been built and is in transit from the factory."

I've updated the Model X tracking sheet accordingly:
Model X Order/Delivery Tracking - Google Sheet

Delivery Manager says it will arrive in Santa Barbara on or before Tues Nov 20 and is arranging for same day delivery.

67 days... 9.5 weeks now and still "scheduled for production". DS assures me though it'll be delivered by "mid to late December".

Average time from start of production to delivery in Vancouver is 17d (!?) according to the spreadsheet. That's Monday, December 9th if it were to go into production TODAY.

The math checks out, I guess?

So frustrating. I don’t understand the prioritization at all. There was the other thread where the guy ordered more than a month after me, thought about cancelling, decided not to, and took delivery yesterday. A month after my order! Very similar config, just different exterior color. He has a car, I haven’t even gone into production yet. 10 weeks and counting.

In some ways I'm glad and also sad that there's this very long thread. Glad since I'm not the only one experiencing this, sad that there's so many experiencing this. I too am in this purgatory state. Ordered 10/25, confirmed 10/28, VIN assigned Nov 6 with a text saying my vehicle would be delivered by January 7, 2019 (yep!). Frustrated and annoyed, but pressed on. After several attempts at contacting my delivery specialist and calling the 1-888 number, I was told that it should finish production 12/3 (yay?). Delivery specialist finally responds, says vehicle should be done 12/8 (bigger yay?). Called today on the 1-888 number for a quick update. Representative says they have no indication for any of those December dates and all they have is the January 7 date. Also was told my delivery specialist should not have said those December dates. What the heck? They say they've escalated to the manager for the delivery specialist, but we shall see.

The phone representative said they could try to find an inventory MX100D similar or the same as my configuration. All I can find on their website in the "new inventory" are P100D's with 50-2000 miles on the odometer with different interior (black vs. white). Well I'm willing to get a P100D if its the same price as my 100D with a black interior, but I doubt they'll take off $15-20k off the tag. Plus I'm skeptical of taking a P100D that has 2100 miles on it (clearly a test drive vehicle, which tested Ludicrous mode a few times). Anyone have thoughts on this?

Well here I am, uncertain if its December or January delivery date now. Trying to hold off selling my current car. Money isn't an issue, but need to have a spare vehicle up until delivery date. Still sticking to getting a Model X, but this experience is beyond words at times, but geez, I live 1.5 hours away from Fremont for god sake. So just go down there and grab a vehicle off the line;).
