Replacing the stock sub with a SoundQubed sub, which is a drop in replacement, is a huge bang for the buck
This thread was a great read. I have been in contact with Brody from B.A. for about 2 weeks or so. I have a 2015 MS with standard sound as my budget when getting this car did not support UHFS. I've been dieing to replace the stock cheap ass speakers with something else but very weary of just putting anything in my MS. I did notice there were a lot of unanswered questions from thread response to thread response as each person had there own input. The question of whether or not you have to adjust the sub between songs did not get answered? The question of whether just having the door speakers replaced and not getting a sub or amp was not answered? Has any of you lost significant amounts of range from installing a amp and sub whether from LH or B.A? I am very interested in getting my sound system boosted a lot with the ultimate kit from B.A and any information any of you can profile is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the good read!
I bought the 4 door kit for my standard audio setup. I didn’t really feel it was a big improvement in quality except that it did get louder. Distortion still exists when turned up but just at a higher threshold. Based upon reviews from others, i was expecting s little more from the speakers. Somewhat disappointed and maybe i should’ve went a different route.

I’m going to try the soundqubed woofer upgrade for the uhfs. Just ordered. Still on sale for $90 on the soundqubed website. I’ll post before and after data. I have some basic sound measuring tools...
What model year S do you have? I have a late 2016. Did you do any sound insulation in the doors? Funny thing is, my standard speakers only distort with high volume phone calls.
Early 2015 Model S (made in March before the LTE came standard)....I did upgrade to LTE cause 3G was way to slow with the Navigation and everything else. I ordered the ultimate sound system yesterday and I'm getting it installed this weekend to include sound deading as well. It's important to me to avoid rattling and excessive vibration.
Good deal. Let us know how it goes.I wasn’t going to change the amp. Using the stock amp in the uhfs system. Willing to gamble $90 to see if I can hear a difference...
