HURRAHHH!!!!! Got mine as well on the Friday drop! 😄😄😄

So the question now becomes, how do you make payment when your bank limits the daily max to $20,000? 🤔
I assume you can make multiple payments with the same reference....but yeah, would be nice to be a clean one-transaction. Help appreciated.
Soon after i ordered, i approached the bank and they provided a token [a random number generator, i think] as third step authentication, which will allow a single payment.

Hi Folks 🙂

I have been following this forum for a while now but this is my first post.

I got my VIN today which is very exciting. Congrats to everyone who have received it 👏 Atleast the seemingly endless wait came to an end...😅

M3 LR (White/Black)
Order Date: 8/1
Location: Sydney
EDD: Aug 25 - Sep 4

Question, My finance is expiring tomorrow. I haven't got my invoice yet. What would happen to my order? Should I be reapplying? I am with Pepper Money.

Thanks in advance for your responses and appreciate all the contributors in this forum 🙏

Me EVERY morning checking for a VIN

It’s quiet mixed feeling to see loads of vins are assigned but not mine. Is any RWD assigned recently, seems all lr or p. my OD is 22Jan, is so closed…
Yes hoping for some RWD VINs soon.

One accessory I splurged on were these carpet floor mats from an Aussie factory. They really thick pile and feel very nice (I live in the 'burbs so carpet fine), as I didn't like the Tesla ones on the test drive, they seemed flimsy.

Hi all,

A question for those of you that have pre installed the Gen 3 wall connector, how much time did it take between ordering it online and getting the installation finalised?

I'm trying to figure out the best point to go get that organised ahead of time and not have the charger on the wall for months on end mocking me 🤣

Appreciate any insight 😊
It all depends if they have it in stock. If in stock, it arrived around a week later.

If not in stock, then you're at the mercy of the supply chain gods. I waited around a month last year, bought it immediately, and they ran out of stock that same day. "Made on Earth by Humans" alright 😉.

@Luddo yeah I did think about "what if a gen 4" gets released between now and then? But that seems unlikely from my searches online, gen 3 is still relatively new I think?
Even if there was a Gen 4 released, I doubt there would be any significant improvement. I bought my wall charger recently and my OD is 17/3. Mine wall charger will be gathering dust for a while yet.

Cheers, I think I'm going to wait for now since I still have many many months of waiting for the actual car! I only ordered the M3 itself last month after all 😃

Really appreciate all of the replies and insights of this forum has been very helpful ☺️

Having been on this forum for a while now I have watched the “cycles” of oldies and newbies posts. And have come up with the 7 stages of owning a Tesla.

The 7 Stages of owning a Tesla.

1. Dreaming - this is where a person is thinking about purchasing a Tesla. It often involves visiting a showroom and meeting an extremely helpful Sales Assistant who explains how simple it is to buy a Tesla. And in as little as 14-20 weeks you can have your own. The Dreaming stage can take months, and is seen as one of the more enjoyable stages.

2. Commitment - It often is done in private, and is relatively quick.

3. Love - Once the commitment has been made, the SA and Tesla send emails and call quite regularly. Some people developed a strong bond with their SA. This relationship will be put to the test in Stage 5.

4. Accessories - this stage has been known to appear early in some cases. In rare cases is can appear before stage one. It is also likely to keep appearing between stages five and six. Some people will do this in secret and hide it from their significant other due to the excessive amount of purchases made.

5. Abandonment - this stage sometimes is called going a little “Hoopy” It is where the person becomes increasingly annoyed with the complete lack of communication with Tesla. The previously helpful SA from Stage 3 is now no longer around. If a person is at this stage it is wise to point them towards recovery groups such as “Model 3 waiting room” forums.

6. Knowledge - this stage involves the accumulation of knowledge about shipping schedules, and forklift movements. Some also become web decoders and try and decipher the meaning of “VIN allocation”. Others become fixated with spreadsheets and finding hidden patterns in build dates. Others search through video footage to source information. Stage 5 and 6 are the longest stages and a person will find themselves slipping back and forth between the two of them. Occasional even falling back to Stage 4.

7. Smugness - the final stage. This stage is obtained by a lucky few. It begins with the discovery of a hidden VIN. It has been know to take anywhere between 6 to 9 months to reach stage 7. But it a finally obtained when the person sits behind the wheel of their new Tesla. It is said that once stage 7 is reached people forget about the previous stages.
