Accessories. Hmmmmm. Let see...

Australian suppliers (eBay or direct)

All weather floor mats
Trunk, Frunk and under Boot mats (all weather)
Roof shades
Dash and door carbon fibre inserts (the wood grain looks cheap IMHO)
3 phase power adapter for UMC charge cable (car park in town has a fee 5 pin 3 phase charge point and this adapter allows use in rural showgrounds etc.)
Type 2 to Type 2 charge cable 5m (places we visit have BYO chargers that are free)
CAR GO tyre repair plugs (set of four plugs and gas inflator for tyres)
OBDII MX+ ODB scan module for iPhone and interconnect cable to allow use of Scan My Tesla app for stats and logging
Mudflaps (live rural and would like to keep possible stone damage to a minimum. Don't care about mud)
Tesla HPWC (connected single phase 32A)

AliExpress

Jack pucks in carry case
Large LED light (20cm COB) for mounting on the roof of the boot to increase illumination (has adapter to tie into the small boot lights)
Trays for both console storage areas plus "secret storage" in armrest
Sports pedals (I have and LR on order)
Wind reduction rubber for the Model 3 front roof
Trunk boot baffle for left side storage
Console cup holder anti slip clip

I think that covers it. For now...

Just got any updated email. If anyone was wondering the delivery process in Adelaide.

Hi Benjamin,

Exciting news, your Tesla has arrived in South Australia and is currently being prepared for your delivery.

Your carrier delivery is currently projected for 01/03/2022.

In order to confirm this delivery date, we will require settled funds no later than 4 days prior. You will receive a confirmation email from us once we have booked your transport. Please note as the carrier is a third-party company, we can’t control availability of carrier, or exactly when they will arrive on the day. The delivery date booked may be subject to change.

Your Tesla is incredibly intuitive to drive. Thanks to our digital handover experience, you will feel comfortable and confident to hit the road!

Meet Your Model 3

If you have any further questions please respond to this email.

Kind regards,

The Tesla Team

This is what I got personally. Plenty of them around, it had decent reviews across many purchases, I'm happy with mine. I'll post a picture of it on the screen when I pick up my car from the tinter.

Edit: updated
cameras still calibrating? how many KMs have you done so far :p

why additional charging equipment is needed? I think, tesla comes with charging equipments..

I ordered the below items -
  • Boot Mat
  • Front Trunk Mat
  • Armrest Storage Tray
  • Jack Pads for Tesla - Set of 4
  • Tesla Mobile Connector & Cable Holder
Hi I confirmed with my SA when I ordered, my Model 3 RWD (I'm not sure if it's diff for other models) only comes with the UMC, the charger that fits into the regular 240v socket. It doesn't come with a Type 2 to Type 2 cable, which you might need when you try and plug into a non-Tesla charging stations (BYO cable they say to connect your car to the charging station), so you need to buy from Tesla $310 or other places like EVSE. Also, he said that it doesn't come with the Tesla first-aid kit either but did come with floor mats.

But buying accessories is something you can do while waiting for delivery date and a VIN!
The longer you wait, the more you buy... 🤣

If you want concise information the only place to be is the VedaPrime Patreon service for $15 a month and it's associated Discord channel that's included in the price. A wealth of information you won't get here, or on any other forum, that is up to date as well as having a great community atmosphere. I recommend it highly...

Thanks a lot. I didn't think of it.

btw, is it required for Tesla SC stations as well?

If you have an iPhone and Apple Watch you can install the Watch app for Tesla app that puts everything on your wrist and connects via the phone Bluetooth connection. It's all of $17.99 for the app on the App A Store:

Supports a ton of Siri commands as well as having a watch complication for the corner of your Apple Watch screen that shows a Quick view of battery percentage and a tap brings up the full app. From reports the Tesla fob feels quite cheap for the price.
Yeah. I saw that such watch app is also available for Galaxy Watch 4 etc that use Google's Wear OS. But I have an older Galaxy Watch that doesn't support it. Doh.

Anyways, I already received the fob and I agree that it feels cheap and not as durable. But after seeing many reviews and comments of Tesla owners where the phone key connection isn't always reliable, I had to get the fob. I also like how you can open the frunk, trunk, and charging port with the fob. That convenience alone is going to be worth it imo.

That sounds like an ad :) Not sure why every time someone in this tread mentions sharing of information about logistics of delivery, it's brushed off with "oh that's what Vedaprime is for, don't bother and go buy subscription". Yep, information that is provided there could be superior, but hey, we are on a free forum sharing free information, why that could not be a good alternative to paid service? Raised in geek culture of 90s I still believe in open source etc and hate paying for information. OSINT FTW :)

Just to make my contribution to discussion - that's my understanding, feel free to correct, just don't do "that's wrong, go subscribe to Vedaprime to get the right info" :)

1) after you make an order paying $350 deposit, you get in one of the queues. Queues are probably grouped by car configuration. If you order now (Mid Feb), there is a chance you would get delivery in Q2, but as estimated timeline was bumped up to 5-7 months this week, those chances are slipping away. Order date usually correlates with delivery date, but there are exceptions when some car configurations take much more time to deliver than others. Consensus is that more popular configurations like "RWD white/black" have shorter wait time.
2) VIN is assigned to you several days after your car is built. Cars for AU are built in batches, this year we saw 2 batches in Jan and 1 batch in Feb (looks like that is a change comparing to last year, when cars were built once a quarter). You cannot track anything before VIN is assigned. VIN could be easily checked in Tesla SSO - Sign In (under "Tesla 3.." header) or source code of your reservation page if you look for "LRW".
3) Tesla VIN decoder. - VIN decoder that works for 2022 cars
4) after you get a VIN, you can expect final invoice appear under "documents" section of your reservation page in couple of days. If that does not occur, contact your SA. Final invoice provide one more piece of information - build date.
5) People with ED dates in Feb (and build dates in 2nd week of Jan) had their cars on Morning Midas and Morning Crystal. Both are already unloaded in Port Kembla, some people got their cars delivered already, some would get delivery next week or two.
6) People with ED dates in March (and build dates in 2nd week of Feb) have their cars on Morning Clara ship that left Shanghai yesterday, expecting in Brisbane on 26-28 of Feb, and in Port Kembla on 1-4 March. Cars for VIC, NSW and SA would be unloaded here, and moved by trailers to final destinations. As I understand, that takes additional 3-7 days. Not sure about other states.
7) Cars for AU are loaded in Shanghai port (not Luchao) at this terminal Shanghai · Shanghai, China
You can track which ships are moored in several apps/sites - MarineTraffic, FleetMon etc. Basically, all of those apps have free accounts that provide you limited information, but combination of that could be useful. Best chance to guess which ship will head to AU is to check last visited ports of the ship - vesselfinder.net provides that information. When ship is not covered by terrestrial AIS (i.e. is in open sea), those services prefer not to show position for free, but looks like ShipFix (MORNING CLARA – Vehicles Carrier, IMO 9460887, Flag Singapore) shows you pretty recent position (if not, try to open in incognito browser window). MarineTraffic app allows you to set up a few notifications for free when ship is leaving/arriving/changing destination etc.
When ETA of the ship is 5-10 days, it should appear on arrival page of port authorities:
Brisbane: Public Pages - go to "Ship Movements", press "query", select needed dates and "Max"
Port Kembla: Daily Vessel Movements
8) You would get SMS with 3 proposed dates to pick up the car week in advance. You would need to have your payment cleared prior to pick up. You can pay by transferring the money to Citibank account. Account details are mentioned on your reservation page, do NOT use any other details sent in emails/sms - that could be scam. Account number should be the same as your reservation number. Do not forget to add reference "RNxxx..." to your transfer. Yes, you can do multiple partial transfers. Transfers would appear on your reservation page in breakdown of the costs 0-2 business days after payment.
9) (I haven't got to this stage, so could be lots of errors here) When accepting delivery, you would be asked to sign documents first - sounds dodgy, but looks like common practice. To do thorough check, download tesla delivery checklist app.

So you are saying Spotify should be free? I love open source but a "service" is something where people work to provide something valuable in exchange for something else(usually money). Personally, I don't see anything wrong with what vedaprime does. He/She/They provide information well in advance, almost accurate in exchange for money. I LOVE open source but I also like netflix/spotify which takes my money for a certain service which they specialise at.

No hatred here, just sharing my point of view (P.S. I love healthy debates)

Step 2: You can also run this API endpoint after logging in with Tesla to get your VIN - I assume it populates each of the boxes that represent your cars(or pending orders)
Account API Call
If its there the request should look like this;
{"code":200,"data":{"countryCode":"AU","vehicleList":[{"year":"2022","model":"m3","vin":"...","rn":"RN....","c....

I think you missed the point. "kalamata" is simply saying that if you want to do the legwork, you can find all the information concerning your Tesla yourself. In fact, those who are still waiting could team together or start another thread to watch the port in Shanghai. Someone else could do the tracking as I was with the Midas and Crystal.

I don't think "kalamata" was saying you should not join vedaprime, but that you do not need to, to find similar information.:cool:

Man I was just about to write the same thing. Getting really sick of the "go to vedaprime and pay $15..." Answer to any logistics question. I know it's not, but it sure feels like people are paid or given a kickback for referrals. I hope Veda is sponsoring this forum at least with all the referrals he gets from here. Possibly it's just people trying to justify their own $15 they spent by derailing any conversation around info they are privvy to in their private rooms.

No doubt Veda has a good service, just not sure it's too ethical just having people direct others there to answer simple questions which others not in the "circle" have the answers to as well.

Anyways whinge over.

Still waiting for my LR. Lease company called me a coupe of weeks ago just to say that they had been contacted by Tesla and the car was delayed until mid/end March. Not sure if true but seemed like the lady who called me had just got off the phone with them, but time will tell. Not sure if lease companies deal with a SA or there is a higher level of adviser looking after them.

I called my bank and requested a temporary limit increase. Bankwest allows you to up your daily limit to $100k, you then have 1 hour in which to send the money before it drops back to your regular limit. Saved me having to split it over multiple payments.
I'm only paying 15K for my M3LR, so I get to enjoy it straight away.

The other 65K is the future me's problem 😁

Anyway here is the beast, for inspiration:

(no this isn't mine but it should look indentical - when it arrives next month!)
