Maybe, but having not had any debt for over a decade creates its own problems in a world that values a credit rating. If I have the excess cash to buy it outright, I could do that. Or, I finance half of it on 2.99% and while doing that, put the cash I then retain in an investment that with a higher return = credit rating being built while not costing me anything extra. To pay for financing to get a “credit rating” is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. But hey, each to their own.
javataco can't have heard many stupid things, and also clearly has no idea about how credit scoring works... this is a sensible idea.Maybe, but having not had any debt for over a decade creates its own problems in a world that values a credit rating. Some people can see it in the app or website under your profile. My app doesn't show any date range, but I know it was 6-9 months when I placed my order.Stupid question perhaps, how do you guys see specific months rather than "6-9 months" etc?
Thanks for the response on that mate, appreciate itSome people can see it in the app or website under your profile. My app doesn't show any date range, but I know it was 6-9 months when I placed my order.
This isn’t America. Lenders look at income and expenses/debts, how well you can service a loan.javataco can't have heard many stupid things, and also clearly has no idea about how credit scoring works... this is a sensible idea.
Showing 1st June 20:30 now….Turandot ETA for Brisbane is now showing 2nd June 06:30, was previously 2nd June 22:00.

Yes correct that this isn’t America, but Australian lenders most certainly look at your credit rating, credit history and serviceability. What are you implying, by referring to America? This isn’t America. Lenders look at income and expenses/debts, how well you can service a loan.
I’m implying you don’t need to ‘build a credit score” here like in America, and the act of paying a fee to do it is insane.Yes correct that this isn’t America, but Australian lenders most certainly look at your credit rating, credit history and serviceability. If you don't have a credit history in Australia you are an unknown risk profile to lenders. Therefore banks will either not lend to you or will charge an interest rate higher than advertised. A secured loan like a car is a lower interest option to build this rating. So 'insane' is probably a bit mean.I’m implying you don’t need to ‘build a credit score” here like in America, and the act of paying a fee to do it is insane.
In the context of Australia, this is true, but I think a car loan at 4% doesn't seem like an optimal choice. There are other leas costlier ways to build credit history. If you don't have a credit history in Australia you are an unknown risk profile to lenders. Sure. Unless you want a Tesla anyway i guess. In the context of Australia, this is true, but I think a car loan at 4% doesn't seem like an optimal choice. There are other leas costlier ways to build credit history.
I ordered 21/4 and in the 6-9 month bucket.Morning all, anyone order around the 23/4 trying to figure out if my order was in the 6 to 9 month or 9 to 12 month period, as mentioned previously I don’t see an EDD. Thanks
