Has anyone done any sort of analysis of expected output of known AU productions days v known vin allocations? Obviously there would be a lot of extrapolation and guess work, but I would be interested to see if the known production is accounted for with VINs or if there are still vins to be allocated either at sea or waiting at the factory or dock.

Surely the @Vedaprime's of the world would have some insight into this

So I reached out to my SA as I still cant find my VIN and was starting to get worried. Theyve advised I have one. Kinda odd given I can't see it with either of the known methods.

Does anyone know if we can cancel the trade-in after receiving the final invoice. I was checking the forums, in US you definitely can, not so sure about Australia.

I was able to, emailed my SA saying I already sold my car and asked them to remove the trade-in credit and got a new invoice issued the next day

Not at all. Those ships will also be delivering Model Y's, cars from other manufacturers, forklifts, trucks, buses, anything else with wheels, and some of those to NZ. Tesla had a backlog of M3 LR and P orders to fill (back to Nov 21) for AU/NZ and seems to have been tying to do that within their production capacity and the space they could secure of these scheduled RORO services. Not a surprise that more recent M3 orders did not make it in this run.

My guess is you shouldn't need to clear your browser history for the API output, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

You could try and go back to Tesla with your carsales offer and see if they can match or better it. I know of someone who did that on their trade (BMW X3) and Tesla beat the carsales offer

Someone mentioned they had a second Tesla account and their order (which never appeared) was on an old account they created years ago. Any chance of something similar?

Havent seen it in the account, and due to a person interacting the confirmation I got was probably out of the ordinary.

I guess it depends on people's borrowing capacity, but that's a difference of $100-$200 a month right? Might be enough to push people to reconsider?

Yep they did, added 2k but still over 2k off. Will see if the carsales one is too good to be true

the issue of what appeared to be scam sms's from tesla has been solved. They miskeyed someone elses contacts and it was very close to my wife's number so she was getting their details. Her phone number isnt attached to my order at all, and this other account is on the same sort of timelines as our order

I have some new charts from the Spreadsheet data. These can be viewed in the Spreadsheet itself, and will update as more people enter their order details.

I'm going to add some more charts to highlight the difference between orders placed vs. orders with VINs - hopefully a visualisation of the different data points (Trim, Paint Colour, State) - and whether any conclusions can be drawn from the data point and VIN allocation.
