No there is no history of this it is misinformation. Also dont mention it, even as a joke, this is against forum rules.

If I understand from this thread - What to expect when you're expecting (Australia Delivery Process) - we would receive our VINs via SMS? Just have to make sure the correct phone is linked to the account.

I don't think this works anymore. I have a VIN from my Final Invoice, but the "VIN" section in the Tesla API is blank.
The telltale sign is if the "Year" section shows 2022, then you have a car assigned. I found the VIN embedded in the source code of the web page.
Who else is annoyed they didn't order a long range? I think I would have had it by now, and from memory it wasnt that much more :-(
Me and my mate ordered on the same day, he ordered a LR and got it a good 4/5 weeks ago now so yes im very annoyed...

I havent go that on mine, so I think you got oneUnsure if this is the real deal. Just did a search for posts with LRWY on TMC and looks like that is how a vin for model Y starts
Yes I spoke to someone the other day who ordered late march, I am early march and they have their car and I dont even have a VIN!!
