Trump’s personal aide, Nicholas Luna, has covid

Personal assistant to Trump tests positive for coronavirus - CNNPolitics

LA Times:
Trump aide Nick Luna tests positive for the coronavirus

In the Bloomberg article (paywall) that I was able to read earlier before I had reached my limit of free articles, I’m pretty sure it said that prior to Air Force One leaving for Bedminister fundraiser, that Kayleigh was pulled off the flight at the last minute because she had been near Hicks. We haven’t heard about testing her but sounds like she might have been yanked for same reason as Nick.

The Bloomberg article btw was entitled “The Day Covid-19 Came to Trump’s White House”. Lays out a timeline from the trip from Minnesota when Hicks fell ill and cordoned herself off from the rest on the plane and comments on how the president appeared during the event and then up to more recent events. Interesting read if you can see it.

Yesterday 10/2 Wall Street Journal published this on who traveled on Marine One and Air Force One that week. Quite an extensive list.

We know from the LATimes article mentioned in an earlier post that Nick Luna was pulled off that Thursday flight as well as Kayleigh who was listed on the WSJ account.

“Luna was one of the aides who had planned to accompany Trump on Thursday to a fundraiser at the president’s golf course in Bedminster, N.J., but stayed behind because of recent close contact with Hicks.”

After wishing the president and his wife a speedy recovery, Bernie Sanders made this statement:

"I think the people are concerned about getting a handle on this pandemic and understand they’re not gonna have the economy we need unless we get ahead of the pandemic," Sanders said.

"I think this crisis and the president’s illness makes it more apparent we need Biden in the White House," he added.

Last item tonight, and this was just surprising to read about a Delta flight, given we know you can test negative for a period of time after exposure. Trump had announced he was positive very early Friday morning and these 3 congressmen who flew with him on Air Force One two days before flew commercial home in spite of knowing the situation.

Why aggressive? Dosing is once a day for 4 days, right? 5 more days if needed. I mean if he's getting remdesivir I assume it's not just for kicks. But once you start you should likely complete the 4 days, at least........
Aggressive as in both remdesivir and rgn-cov2

The kitchen sink approach, for "mild" disease

There is at least one ... medical professional ... that doesn't agree with the current course of treatment:

Hydroxychloroquine doctor is furious Donald Trump took "experimental antibody stupidness"

"Dr. Stella Immanuel, who gained fame in July after Trump retweeted a video showing her touting the malaria drug, expressed outrage in a series of tweets on Friday, condemning the medical decisions of "bozo doctors" who surrounded the president after he tested positive for COVID-19.

"Instead of giving the president of the United States a known safe drug," Immanuel tweeted. "They gave him some experimental antibody stupidness. This is so dumb. Please potus family you guys wake up. Give him HCQ, Zpack & zinc asap.""

No bleach ?

What is this country coming to when even the quacks are pansies.

Time for more double speak from the doctor?

Thanks.

They have started him on dexamethasone.

He was on supplemental oxygen Friday, with saturation below 94% transiently.

He may have been on oxygen (briefly) yesterday (Saturday); saturation dropped again yesterday (the doctor was ‘not aware’ whether he had been on oxygen yesterday!!! The nurses who would know were not made available for comment.)

The doctor said the saturation on Friday was “not in the low 80s.” Not sure what to make of that!

There are lung findings but “nothing of critical concern.” His lung volume seemed fine (over 2500), so no fluid collection around the lung, but they would not discuss the other findings. He said it was stuff you would expect (I assume GGO, or some sign of mild pneumonia; minor lung damage).

Sounds like he is doing well (for now) and if things continue that way it sounds like he could be back to the White House Tuesday or Wednesday. (They will start discharge planning tomorrow if things go well.)

Yesterday some people were thinking Trump hasn’t had oxygen but because his doctor didn’t answer that question it was obvious that he had. Today the doctor’s confirmed this but isn’t answering questions about the lungs.
The problem is by not been absolutely clear and honest it opens the door to speculation which leads to uncertainty and erratic market movements.

I looked up Sean Conley, the osteopath/personal physician of trump. His blurb on healthgrades.com says
