Do you mind sharing the details of your build? Custom or inventory?

Custom build. MYLR white exterior, black interior w/ Induction rims.
Scheduled delivery for 1/26. Austin build.

I put my order on hold. I was getting ahead of myself. Don't actually need the car for little longer. Will try to push Tesla to wait as long as I can. They only gave me 1 week hold. Hopefully I won't get assigned another VIN soon

My EDD is Jan 29 - Feb 5..spoke to the SA and she said that it may change (..my VIN is assigned and car is coming from Fremont(I am in Washington DC) so it may take another 2-3 weeks! That screws my trade in to caravana

A friend ordered a Blue/Black MYLR on the same date with a similar EDD but his has a tow hitch.

No, none of them had a tow hitch. Only what is mentioned.

If you’ve got a vin you are in a two week window. Can’t imagine it takes longer than that.

How do we get notified? App or text?

It seems different strokes for different folks. Some are text. Some there the sales assistant at a Local Tesla shop. Some are refreshing app. I am in the same boat. Mines been stuck on Jan-Mar since Jan 13th.

I don't think people ordered after 1/14 would start seeing order updates until after people ordered on 1/14 started getting updated EDDs. Currently seems like only 1/13 orders are getting EDDs and VINs.

yeah I think the white interior would definitely add a delay. But that's interesting you do have a more specific range. When was your order date?

I think only Fremont makes white interiors so that would limit you to one factory instead of two.
