Anyone in Texas that got VIN number from Giga Austin? I heard it's all made in Fremont for Texas.

Texas production is probably going to the east coast first. I would expect that to shift to local deliveries later in Q1.

The VIN tells you if it’s Fremont or Austin

Interesting, I certainly hope so because I heard Austin builds have no matrix headlights and I'm located in Houston.

I thought Tesla is doing it because they can't sell car directly to customer in Texas, so all builds in Texas are shipped from Fremont.

They can but they have to be shipped out of state then back... Tesla Can't Sell Texas-Built Cars In TX Without Crazy Workaround

UPDATE! (to to the UPDATE!)

First Delivery Date: 1/15; Rejected because the MYLR was in terrible shape in exterior, had obviously been rejected by multiple people, had scratches, scrapes all over, Austin Build.
VIN: Cancelled 1/15 (Rejected delivery in person)
VIN: Same VIN reissued 1/15 and gave me 48 hrs to schedule delivery. Did not reschedule delivery for same VIN obviously.
EDD: 1/17-1/24 as of 6pm 1/17, awaiting (hopefully) new VIN.
EDD: 1/28-2/11 as of 4PM, awaiting hopefully new VIN.
