Does the Model 3 come fully charged on delivery?

Which brings up another question, are the battery packs charged at the delivery center, or the gigafactory?

They're charged, at the delivery center (I believe).

Also, I've never NOT gotten a full tank of gas when buying a new car.

Your car will be plugged in to the 14-50 at the service center. My car was charged to like 90% or something. I am not sure there's a uniform policy, but I would think it would be to at least 80%. If it's not you can ask them to charge it up for you.

EDIT: I see you're in Tulsa, so you I think you'll pick up in Dallas. They have a supercharger for service use only. If your car is not fully charged for your drive back to OK, you can ask them to throw it on there before you go.

Can't speak for anyone else but mine was charging at a Supercharger when I I arrived for delivery. The total showing on the screen after it completed charging was $13.40 or was that $12.40? So battery was pretty low since it added 62-65kW. 90% of 80kW is 72. I have yet to see that charge show up. I have yet get it back to 283miles after the initial charge.

I have never not gotten a full tank of gas buying new or used car from a car dealership.

At the delivery center where I picked up our car, all the cars were plugged into Tesla Wall Charger and charged to 100%. It also seems like there is a 14-50 outlet next to all the WCs so you could test out your Mobile Charger before you leave the delivery center which I should have done because ours was defective. During the delivery demo, the girl set our charge to 90%.

Thanks, I'm in Oklahoma and my nearest showroom is Kansas City which is about 200 miles away.
Hopefully they will open a delivery center in Oklahoma.

I can see a possible bottleneck at busy delivery centers just getting the cars charged.

That 283 miles was at 93% battery charge per the picture. Definitely won't see that again charging to 90%.

How are you getting the 93%? Did you count pixels? (The 93% in the upper right is the charge level of their phone.)

It was close to that. I was told that they normally charge to 90% (Marina del Rey Delivery Center)

Cars not usually charged to 100% as that is not good for them to sit at that rate.

My X was charging at 90% when I came to pick it up, as the Delivery specialist wanted to show me the charging in action.

I drove into San Francisco to show the car off to some relatives, and we spent the day with them. Then drove down to Monterey to spend the night on the Ocean. Charged up in Seaside that night, in anticipation our trip down to San Diego.

Absolutely the best delivery experience ever. Took the factory tour, drove into and around San Francisco (fantastic nav on the big screen_) Met one of our relatives that works for Tesla designing the interior, and drove down to Big Sur for a surreal experience, all in the same day. Gave him his first drive in a X. He loves his job. Driving around the famous 17 Mile drive and Pebble Beach in a large window Model X was the best experience ever. I also ran into one of the Tesla Executives that was taking his wife out to dinner in a Model S 100 prototype with Lucicris. His enthusiasm was really high that night, as the prototype performed better than even his expectations.

Will never forget picking up our first Tesla.

It drives like no other.

Yeah, that's true, but I guess at delivery centers where they expect many people picking up from far away they might charge to 100%. I'm sure if anyone asks they will be willing to charge to 100% for them, but best to ask ahead so they can plan and it doesn't take up their charging bay unnecessarily (plus have to wait).
