Did the main Model 3 page always state that production was going to start mid-2017? I wasn't paying attention...

Not positive, but I don't recall seeing that previously either. I thought the July 2017 date was a checkpoint to verify internal and external suppliers are ready. Now it appears they actually plan to start production in July? I guess it depends on what the term "production" actually means in Tesla-speak.

Good catch! It did say "late 2017". Now says "mid 2017". At least on my page as well.
