No he said that was where they were at, so they are close to 100% or something like that. I quoted it elsewhere. It was pretty clear from the quote that the goal is 100%. Some issues with that commitment, also covered earlier.

If that’s not a firm commitment to 100%, I don’t know what is.

Of course it means something. Elon has ok'd a call out to Chuck's UPL turn including actually testing it and sharing the results. He has never been that specific before.

I hope it is big, meaning that it is worth one beer to @Daniel in SD, and I will have to eat crow. Would be a great outcome and indicate a bit of real progress. (With the vast majority of the work still to be done!)

I'd be happy if it can go straight through intersections without turning on a left or right blinker, or straight on a multi-lane road without arbitrary lane changes every half mile

It would be nice if they included an update to 2022.20 branch instead of 2022.16. With the rest of the fleet moving onto 2022.24 soon, 2022.16 feels a little long in the tooth.

Flogging a dead horse comes to mind...

He lies (or exaggerates, or is optimistic, it doesnt matter what you call it). Nothing new to see here guys, time to move on.

Partly, every CEO needs to do this to get funding .. it's the reality of doing business. But at this point it's become endemic to his personality. He probably believes his own lies (sad), and of course no-one challenges him .. emperors new clothes etc.

OTOH, a lot of the time stuff he talks about DOES happen .. just way way later than he predicts. So listen to the tech stuff and TOTALLY ignore the dates.
