Firmware 7.1 - For Classic Model S

I don't like losing the A/B Trip odos, because I never really know when "current trip" resets itself.

I know this was a big deal for you. I look forward to seeing how you adjust over time, as I've found it really useful and a beneficial addition. I'm definitely hopeful you do as well.

The trip resets each time you start driving. I haven't verified if a simple Drive/Park/Drive change will reset, or if the driver needs to exit the car, but in actual day to day use, I get out of the car anyway. So the "current trip" means since I got in and have been driving. "Since last charge" is usually my usage for the day, since I charge nightly unless on a trip.

Agree on the contrast - mine's not as bad as others seem to be, but I'll remain hopeful for an update there for everyone having a tough time with it.

Two big issues that I thought were deal-breakers was the swapped odometer and SOC meter. While the current placement makes little sense, and I do wish they were swapped back to the previous setup, I can manage with them.

The low/high beam indicators off to the far upper left is annoying for sure, but I can see them with my steering wheel position. What I find really odd though if the toy car is going to show headlights, turn signals, and brake lights, why does it NOT show high beams??? Not that I really want it to, mind you, because I find the bright white headlight wash in the dash to be distracting -- I'm more curious from a logical/completeness point of view. If you're going to trash the IC display with a toy car that shows the instant status of all the lights -- AT LEAST BE CONSISTENT about it!!!

I also do now know what people mean when they say it's like driving a new car.. because it kind of is. During my SC visit, many little things were fixed, including two different drive units noises (a u-joint clunking sound, and a low buzz at <10kw)-- they replaced the DU -- so the car drives so much more smoothly now! And they upgraded a pano-roof bracket that was introducing some wind noise into the cabin at highway speeds. So that's nice. And I got an LTE upgrade. So lots of new/fixed things, as well as the firmware upgrade really makes my car feel "refreshed" and different.

edit: I have a road trip to Florida and back next week, so I'm looking forward to enjoying the "new" car and UI.

It requires the car to go to "car off" mode, which basically means your butt has to out of the seat for a moment. Once "car off" has occurred, the old numbers remain until the car is put into "gear". When selecting a gear, it then resets to 0.

Have you noticed that about one pixel or so of the headlight beam of the car graphic remains 24/7, even when the headlights are off? It cuts through the digital speed readout. Very annoying!

I am still on 6.2 but was just talking to a sales team member about upgrading from my 2013 S85 to a new model S 90D. Hopefully I will be able to afford an upgrade with my trade in and will continue to be a happy camper. I was just told that the $1,200 referral credit can be used by me, by referring myself.
That's good to know...I'm doing exactly the same thing, so I've pinged my delivery specialist.

2.12.126 installed this morning on my 2013 P85+, upgrading from 2.12.22. Nothing new stands out in the change log. Will report back if I see anything different when I take it for a spin later today.

Yep I got the notification around 2am, I'm currently on 2.12.45 but haven't had time this morning to upgrade. Let us know whats in this, interestingly enough mine is a P85+ too.

I got it this AM and installed. No noticeable differences during my 10 min drive to the office. Graphics all look the same, and source button for audio is still gone.

Is anyone else having an issue with FM radio being unselected when getting into the car? This happened about 3 updates ago. I kept thinking it would get resolved but I have had 2 updates now and the problem is still there. I have another update queued up for tomorrow and I hope it gets fixed then.

Apologies if this has been discussed but I couldn't find it. Here is the situation: If I am listening to FM radio then park. When I come back to the car I can hear the station playing when I open the door and the car starts up. But when I put my stuff in the back seat and get in, the radio display has gone from the station to the Radio -> FM / AM selection screen. So I have to select FM to get the radio back on. Very annoying.

I received 2.12.126 today, was on 2.12.45
The release notes are unchanged except for one note at the very top that may be new, I'm not sure, see photo below.

It's only about a pixel or two high, but its about two inches wide.

I have noticed this line.

I don't think it's the headlight beam or a bug.

It's the horizon of the toy car.

Why it has to bisect the speedo display beats me. I guess they need to pay their UI interns more.
