Agree, other than TouchID and widgets it's just a UI refresh. Pretty disappointing after four years. I hope this isn't a reflection of what we will see in 8.1.

A widget for unlocking or turning the climate control seems a little useful, I guess. The mobile app is another area where Tesla was an early leader and then surpassed by the competition.

They needed to add seat warmers/heaters control, remote control for software updates, alerts if charging amperage changes... just for a start

How do you know it's removed? The leak may not have shown all of the screens.

Well, sort of yes. I think we got Summon and perpendicular parking plus something else didn't we? I don't remember it's been so long .

There's so many threads on this but there's so many things on the main screen settings that I wish we could do from the app. Like changing the schedule of charging, seat heater control, Range Mode on/off, send destination to Nav, Supercharger status, etc.

Just updated the app, I have to agree that it is disappointing. Just a design Refresh with added support for TouchID. I wish it could include things like Trip planner on the app for instance.

Same. Seems to be mainly cosmetic. I do like the widget for a quick preheat/cool down.

When progress is lacking, throw some lipstick on it and Rev the version number and call it a new release...

I'm not looking forward to 8.1

It's pretty hard for Elon to lose credibility with me, but between this and the Boring Co. I think he's starting to lose it. Pun intended. I'm glad I didn't pay extra for EAP and FSD.
