Is Scheduled charging disabled?

i can’t seem to schedule charging on my new model 3. I see the option but it is grayed out. It will not allow me to enable it. Is there some trick? Is it not supported yet? Electricity is five times as much in the evening as it is after 11pm. So it’s actually important to have scheduled charging for me. Thanks for any info.

The software's fairly unfinished. I know I'm glad Tesla was willing to shop the Model 3 in this state rather than waiting for it all to work right. We wouldn't have gotten our cars until the middle of 2018, if then.

I'm sure they have a prioritized list of stuff to get done, but I doubt that scheduled charging is close to the top. It's a convenience, not a necessity or a safety issue.

Just picked up our Model 3! While going through features with my delivery specialist, he said that scheduled charging was coming soon. I then tapped on the screen and enabled scheduled charging! So I guess "coming soon" meant "last night!" :)

I don't think so...especially because when I got home, I noticed the nav was saying I was in Palo Alto... and I'm in Santa Monica. The red triangle was basically just hanging out near the Intel Museum.

I'm hoping the new update will fix that!

Are you sure it works? I have the same version (got update too) 2017.48.15 and we have the scheduled charging switch but it is grayed out.

Can you share a screenshot of scheduled charging working? Thanks!

UPDATE- I received software revision 2017-48.15.xxxxxx. a few days ago. Although it did not enable scheduled charging it does now let you stop and start charging from the mobile application. So instead of walking down to the garage at 11PM I can just get it started from my phone. The trick is to plug it in and then stop it on the phone. Set an alarm, so I don't forget and start it when the rates go down.

UPDATE 2: Annoyingly it turns out that using the stop charging feature in the mobile app only stops the vehicle charging for a half hour or so. New workaround is to plug in, then scale back the desired charge level to below the current level. Then wake up at 11:00 and increase to the charge level you actually wanted. Hopefully new software will be released soon.

Took delivery of my Model 3 today. Spoke with tech support, and 2017.48.15 does not have scheduled charging enabled. They, however, said it would be returning "very soon". I asked if they could give me an actual time estimate, and they could not.
