Lifetime Average Wh/mi

It would be nice to have a LIFETIME choice to display those numbers when desired.

I have mentioned that and the answer I received (from the SC, not officially from Corporate) was that it would affect the resale value because it would be an indication of how hard the car was driven. I think there should be a lifetime-non-resettable display for this information.

So what? It's a pro for the buyer and perhaps a con for the seller but hey, more information on the table makes for a fairer trade. Also if there was a way to get some sort of number or index that incorporated the number of 100% charges and the number of times the battery was run down close to 0% that might be just as valuable information to a second hand buyer (a sort of "battery health index").

I was asking my Tesla service rep about the possibility of a "Battery Health Report" and while we were discussing, he said that his big concern would be how often the former owner let the car get down near zero miles. That would be a red flag in his mind.

Following is my P85D's Lifetime Average Wh/mi. A little concerned that the Wh/mi is always above 400, but hopefully the pending software update will actually address this:

Lifetime (54 weeks old) = 21K miles at 339 Wh/mile which I think is pretty nice! Didn't significantly go up when the weather cooled down.

The last 13K miles were done at 320 Wh/mile which is even nicer, and reflects the lack of "exploratory demonstrations and gunning it" activities that occurred mostly when the car was new (first 8K miles).

320 Wh/mile is 106mpg (U.S.) by my calculation, which is pretty nice for a car that does everything else the Model S can. Very happy here.

@ Johan

I see something different in your photo of your dash in that you have "Typical Range" which we do not have in North America. we have "Rated" and "Ideal". Which of these does the Typical match up with or is it a different measurement?

I think it is the same as Rated, but not 100% sure. It does seem "Typical Range" does not vary according to driving style and is the same between different cars (i.e. if you charge 20kWh you get the same number of km in Typical Range), but I have seen it vary with temperature. We also have Ideal but I never use it.

Doesn't make a lot of sense, this is not a main indication how the car was driven, a car driven on a cold weather can have an average of 430w/m where the same driving habits can bring down to 330w/m on a nice weather.

Jerry, do you drive only downhill? Where do you live?

That's not why I want it. I want it so that I don't have to be concerned about resetting the trip metros.

Jerry, do you drive only downhill? Where do you live?

I'm live in the DFW area (north Texas). Over half the miles on the car are trips, so no I don't only drive downhill.

Today is my 2 year anniversary and I was at 39,105 miles before I left the house this morning.
It was -1F today and my lifetime Wh/mi is 325. I did something like 23k miles in my first year
but my last 3 roadtrips we've left my Model S home. Once I took a loaner and twice my wife's
new Model S :) My commute has also gotten shorter, roughly halved since October.

I have pics but they're slightly blurry, I can post if anyone really wants to squint.
