Ordered my Model 3 on Sunday, April 7. Received an email on the 9th from my delivery specialist asking to confirm my email. Got a text today, the 11th, saying my delivery is scheduled for the 18th at 10AM in Nashville, TN. Got my VIN at the same time as the text. Car is a 2019.

Nice, that gives me some hope that mine will also be sooner than later. Ordered on 4/8, received welcome email and delivery advisor email a few hours later, crickets since then. Website shows within 2 weeks, I’ll be happy if it’s delivered by the end of April.

M3 Pearl White with black interior, 19” wheels, LR RWD.

It's a crap shoot. Based on my own experience and what I've read here and elsewhere, one of three things will happen:
  1. If a car that exactly matches your order exists in inventory near you, then you'll be quickly matched to it, it will be shipped to you, and you'll be able to pick it up (or have it delivered to your home) in a matter of days.
  2. If not, then Tesla is likely to call you and offer you a compromise. For instance, maybe a car like what you want, but with a different color, is available nearby. You may get a discount if you accept such a vehicle. You may also be offered a test-drive or store display car for a discount. You can discuss your preferences with a Tesla salesperson, who'll be able to search for nearby near-matching inventory, much as happens when you visit a traditional car dealership.
  3. As a last resort, you'll get a car that's not yet been built. Because Tesla batches its production, with the earliest production in the quarter (that is, this month) being shipped to overseas markets and later production in the quarter going to locations progressively closer to Fremont, CA, chances are your car won't be built for at least a month.
If you're willing to compromise on colors, wheels, or drivetrain, chances are you'll get a car quickly; and if you're lucky, you'll get your exact car quickly. If you want the exact configuration you described and are unlucky, you'll probably have to wait at least a month, and maybe as much as two months.

Unfortunately, Tesla greatly oversimplifies things when they say that they have a "2 week" delivery time.

ok...so apparently the RWD LR is no longer available online and AutoPilot comes standard.
An Update to Our Vehicle Lineup
Things change so rapidly with Tesla that I can't keep up. I'm no longer sure the RWD LR is the best choice.

Oh crap! I lost my Mid Range, upsold to a LR RWD, still no car. I do not want to pay anymore for a Dual and I don't want a partial premium interior.

EDIT: No VIN on online account but just called my local Tesla Store and they gave me my VIN over the phone! Please have the car in acceptable condition!

Same boat here. Ordered a MR RWD on 3 March, upsold to LR RWD on 19 March and haven't heard anything since. No VIN yet in my online account.

hi, just curious if the price for the LR increased now that the AP is included. I got my LR about 3 weeks ago, and my AP trial just started, so am curious what will happen.

My order still shows the same price, and likely will not end up including AP for free like the website shows. I have a message in to the delivery specialist to see if I can get confirmation on how this will impact my order, let’s see if I get a response tomorrow.

Well I just got a call from my delivery specialist to tell me my car is available for pick up today. I most likely won't be able to pick up on such short notice. Might have to do it tomorrow. Trying to see what the deal is with new cars having AP included and see if I can get some comp on my paint since they dropped the prices on paint options.

I placed an oder for a LR RWD, Red, AP and FSP, for $55k yesterday (4/11/19). It's hard for me to tell if there should be a price adjustment with the new changes since this model is no longer offered. At the moment, its showing for the same price online and a VIN hasn't been assigned.

The LR RWD is still available; it's just an "off-menu" option, which means you need to talk to a human salesperson, rather than order via the Web site. I suggest you make a phone call or drop by a Tesla store in person to discuss the matter.

If pricing on that configuration follows the pattern on others, it's gone down by $1500 -- an increase of $2000 on the base car, but that includes AP rather than it being a $3000 option; and paint colors other than black have all gone down by $500.

Well, I pulled the trigger on a Blue Black Interior RWD LR Model 3 tonight. Add one more Tesla to the family. We already have a 100D Model X we got almost exactly 2 years ago. I made the order in store and they found me one that they had in inventory a few hours from me. I was on the fence for a while but I wanted to order one before the next tax credit level expired. Will let you know when I can get it delivered.
