Model S Delivery Dates and Sequencing

Picked mine up at 11:30 this morning. I had to move my truck out of the garage to make room when I got home -- despite my best efforts, there just isn't enough room for both of them inside -- and I hated driving it already :).

I've already had one guy pull up next to it in a parking lot and gawk at it.

Just got an email asking me to go through the Delivery questions on the website.
They had originally told me my window is July 10 - July 20.
The website Delivery button just told me now that the window is June 28 - July 12.

Still no VIN, just a RN on the website.

I got a VIN today (13867), but no production date (unless I'm just not seeing the 'Delivery Button').

My finalize date was also this week on 6/3 but I still only see a reservation number on the "My Garage" page.
I assume that is where I should be checking? Or do they send you an email when a VIN is assigned?

The status says, "Your Model S order has been confirmed" which I recall changing from something else on the day that I confirmed my options.

Confirmed should mean its in production. I got an email from the delivery specialist to schedule my appointment. You can also call the Palo Alto office to ask about your reservation status.

Good luck and my VIN is 13722. Can't wait

Ordered on 5/27. Called Tesla to finalize on 6/4. Received email that is going into production on 6/10 for estimated delivery June 28 - July 12. VIN popped up this morning on My Dashboard on the Tesla web site - I presume the last 5 digits are what people are posting - #14030.

Congrats....but color me 'jealous'.

If it helps, I believe the reason they are getting the local ones out so quickly is that they are going to do a batch for Europe. One of the guys (I talked to 2 today, so don't know which) alluded to that happening.

It makes sense that they would want to send a bunch on the same ship. It probably would be less cost for shipping.
