I would point out this one isn't mine. Mine is about 6 weeks out. I think you can still take delivery at your home, and from what I've heard, they discourage service center deliveries, since they were getting a bit busy doing that and not being available for others that truly need service ...

Funny, I was told precisely the opposite by my delivery specialist. They prefer a service center pickup for those within 60 miles which is why my pickup today is in White Plains.

Got my delivery last Thursday, April 18th. The original reservatin estimate was October 2013, then when i paid, it became March-April. Then when I got my delivery button, it became last 2 weeks in April. so the 18th was a good delivery.

Another blue in Pinellas! I hope mine is ready on the early side of my delivery window. Congrats!

I was told similar when I visited the DC showroom on 4/13: Home delivery being phased out as long as you are within reasonable distance from a Service Center...

I was also told by the person in charge of service at the Norristown, PA service center that they had just recently gone to two options for delivery: You can choose to pick it up at the local service center or have it delivered (without service center person) to your home....so with home delivery you are essentially on your own.

John, actually I checked today with our store manager here, and you are correct. If you live near a service center, this is Tesla's first choice. If you live near a store, this is Tesla's second choice, and home delivery is their third choice. They found out (at least in the big metro areas) that they were spending too much time between deliveries just getting to someone's home... getting caught up in traffic etc.

Mine was delivered at home. No DS. Just the fellow driving the truck. The truck had four more MS being delivered in Michigan. When he dropped off my MS, he was heading to Michigan. Worked out just great. I understand why TMC is doing away with the DS. Using a DS must be frightfully $$$$$$.

Got my VIN# today - 961x and an e-mail asking for driver's license info, etc. They want me to call tomorrow to discuss delivery date! So psyched and thankful for others who have come before me. First time post, long time reader, so here's my timeline so far for a 60kWh with everything but sound and kid seats:

Finalized - 3/21/13
Delivery Window Received (called Tesla on 4/12/2013) - 5/8-5/22
Delivery Button (w/e-mail) - 4/15/13
VIN# Received and E-mail with more delivery detail - 4/24/2013

I got a variant on this here in CA (since I live somewhat nearby a service center) - no home delivery option is available. However, they offered to pick me up to take me to pick up the car. I didn't ask about delivery at a store.

Not much consistency. Btrflyl8e and I are on the exact same schedule so far - literally, but I got my VIN# over the phone two days ago and nothing in the app yet. I think I check about 5 times/day. I know it's going to be worth it!
Elguapo, is yours also blue? I had been checking the app about once an hour, it showed up around 10 last night

What date did you complete your delivery survey? Mine showed up late on the 10th day after...completed my delivery questions 4/15 showed up in app late on 4/25

Same day as you, 4/15. If I recall we got our delivery buttons around the same time that day. I really don't think there is any rhyme or reason on Tesla's end for how they handle things. If I had to guess though I'd bet it is because I did not get leather seats.

Seems random...but I'm sure they understand it. It's just maddening for us waiting for every little piece of info. Hang in there, I will bet it shows up in the app by Monday night!
