Looks like the ~2-week EDDs are dropping en masse this morning. I think this is a good sign that production is ramping up nicely.

My EDD has been blank since late June, but as of this morning I finally have Sep 9-29. No VIN yet.

cc @DukeofURL my config twin, did you get one too?

PS: everyone who got a date, please update the sheet below. Thanks!

There have been plenty of Plaid reviews, but I still feel compelled to jot down some observations coming from my LR Model 3 with Acceleration boost. First, a few words on my delivery experience....the delivery specialists were all very friendly, but they seemed a lot more stressed out compared to when I picked up my Model 3 in 2019. Volume is likely to blame there. Over a week prior to taking delivery I tested the Plaid payment portal, and it wouldn't work for either of my accounts. I kept getting errors so I called to see what other options I had. They told me to hold off on any payment until I show up for delivery. I was a little nervous about this, and it turned out to be for good reason. Apparently they typically don't accept wire transfers from Etrade, and they needed approval from someone in Fremont, but since I was taking delivery on a Sunday, I had to wait around until they reached someone with a high enough pay grade. Long story short, it worked out, but I waited around in the show room for over an hour for them to figure it out. But then I drove the car...

I immediately forgot about the hassle of delivery. The power is ridiculous, but there's a sound that's different when you take off compared to the model 3. It's hard to describe, but it's akin to a jet engine taking off. The handling is incredible compared to the 3...I know it should be better for the price, but it really surprised me how well I could maneuver this thing on a windy road with speed, I have to plan my approaches in the 3 so my passengers don't get thrown around in the cab.

The seats are a lot more comfortable and the ride is quiet and calming. Also, this car gets a lot of attention. People filming me as I drive by, strangers saying hi to me for no reason, Valet drivers jumping to attention when they see me coming...needless to say, this is not the model 3 treatment. I know as more of these things get on the road they won't be special anymore, but for those of you taking delivery in the next little bit anywhere outside of California, it's something to look forward to (unless you don't like that kind of attention). Oh, and the red color really pops! I love the cream and CF combo too. Anyway, those are my notes. I hope that those of you waiting for your cars get them soon!
Cheers!

Updated the sheet!
Super psyched my date range is only 2 weeks out!

I've read a lot of posts on this board over the last several months and it's seems to me that Plaid deliveries are being prioritized while LRs are being pushed out. I ordered my LR white/white FSD with 21" wheels on March 10. RN1146. Original delivery 4-11 weeks. Then blank, then August, then for two days June 30-July 8, then blank, then August again, then blank for the last 10 days or so. Now this:
Estimated Delivery: November 08 - November 28

With an email a lot of you received. "You may see a delay with regards to your delivery timeline." I'd laugh if I wasn't really pissed off. This is another three months past my last delivery estimate. Tesla must have a lot of supply issues, that's for sure.
Hi David,
We’re contacting you regarding the timing of your Model S delivery, as we recently updated your Tesla Account to reflect the most accurate estimate. You may see a delay with regards to your delivery timeline.
We understand this may be disappointing and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please continue to check your Tesla Account for any changes to your timing, which should remain updated to represent our best estimate.
Thank you for your ongoing patience, and we look forward to delivering your Model S as soon as possible.
Best Regards,
The Tesla Team

So last week, USAA could not accurately identify my Tesla as a Model S LR. They insisted the VIN identifies it as a Model S Performance. I just spent 93 minutes on the phone with one of their agents, and long story short, I am not happy with USAA right now. If that's all you care about, you can stop reading now. If not, proceed to my rant below.
...
Sadly, you're describing pretty much the type of problem that made me leave USAA. My issues were different, but ended the same way.
Decades of satisfaction evaporated with a handful of seemingly insoluble problems, which should not have even existed.
Now I use Progressive, Schwab and CapitalOne for everything USAA used to do. Life has become simpler.
Plus, Tesla-related problems are non-existent.
My latest Tesla story at Progressive happened today when they changed my quote for the new Plaid, reducing it to be just $30 more than the 2018 Model 3P, per six month policy. I did not ask why!

EDD updated to Nov 22 - Dec 12.
