Actually, the 2021.24 manual was ambiguous, and deliberately so. See p. 136.

Ok, well I'm sorry. I seem to recall seeing it there on the earlier versions. Well, having personally sat in a Plaid, I'm know that it's available; but wanted you to see it yourself. Maybe try watching a video where it is covered?

OK, your reference checks out. Finding the actual Teslas is like looking for hen's teeth. Videos is like waiting to see a meteor. Both feel a little like Easter, when you aren't sure you've found all the eggs.

1) For the Plaid, 'yes' HEPA is in the car;
2) For the LR, still waiting for info.

I got you 😂 there's a lot of disinformation on here that people think they are right. It's a hard thread to keep track of.

I gotta just stay outta this main thread and just stick to the LR and white inteior threads :)

My comment was mainly because Venom decided it'd be cool to disagree with a few of the rest of my posts because I disagreed with theirs about paying cashier's checks. And it's not the first time that's happened from that individual.

Eh. I'll just go back to my view now. One day this Tesla is going to come and I can forget about all the angst
@doubleshot - Seems to be a recurring theme with you (downvoting people, and getting feedback and/or you having to explain yourself). Maybe change your approach to other forum members? When you disagree, just post a reply stating what your view is? Just sayin'

How can you verify that a HEPA filter is installed without taking the frunk apart? I have a LR and the bioweapon defense mode button.

Great to see I’m not the only one who has participated in this thread from the beach hahaha
You gotta do what you gotta do. Only so many coronas I can drink without posting. Lol.

Yes. Both of them have it. I have sat in a LR and it has the mode. Calm down. Seems a little obsessive to be fact checking the owners manual. Even the MY is now coming with it standard. It is listed in the features for a MS. It's listed in the manual. It's in videos. It's not like ANC where it says may not be active at delivery.

Edit: and not sure why you care. Doesn't look like you have a MS Refresh on order. Your previous posts just look like someone trying to find errors and issues.

So weekend OT - anyone living in the Southeast should make the trip to Tail of the Dragon. 318 curves over 11 miles.

Drove it yesterday in my new Plaid and it was great fun. Was pretty crowded so hit some slowdowns but let’s just say I didn’t have any trouble keeping up. Also there are professional photographers positioned along the route to provide a memento of your trip.

Can’t imagine doing the dragon in a cage 😉JK

rode that route many times on my (now gone) K1200GT scraping the pegs all the way down 👍🏼

Yeah, although I’m not an attorney, I think it’s safe to say that “limiting” who can buy & drive a vehicle (as long as the person has a valid driver’s license) would be illegal and a violation of a citizen’s rights.

However, what states can do is pass heftier penalties for those that abuse the “right to drive” a vehicle on public roads! Stupidity and irresponsibility are everywhere.
I was hoping I would be surprised but with all the videos of people talking to their cameras or looking at their shocked passengers to catch their reaction while punching it in their Plaids on public roads, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Now I have to keep my 84 year old Dad from punching it after I get my car on the local roads around his retirement community. Dad definitely wants to try out my new car because he has a 2013 Model S and is a huge fanboy. Whenever he drives me in his old Model S, it is still a white knuckle experience for me.

Question - so I have sentry mode off while the car is getting PPF'ed. I had a full battery when leaving the dealership and only travelled 30 miles. From the app I can only limit charge based upon miles, not percentage. Even though he's only using 110v to charge, I want to keep it at 80%. I used 300 miles via the app as a proxy. Sound reasonable?

Mmmm not quite. 80% of 348 is 278.4 miles, so I'd keep it around there. :)

I'm due to get the 2021 S LR late November. I'm just trying to figure out what 'it' is. It seems to be changing a little like jello during an earthquake. Take a picture of it now, cause in 0.1 seconds, it will be different.

Truth is hard to hash out from Tesla communications. They aren't forthcoming with their manuals (another Easter egg hunt). Their sales technique is all Q and A.

Wait. I'm the only obsessive person here? ;)

Well I have 100 miles on my Plaid now and finally got to do some aggressive driving. The car is definitely faster than my 1100hp CTS-V and feels great. Right off the bat a modified hellcat came flying up on my rear and did an obnoxious 3 lane shift to come around me....it didn't turn out well for him lol. The way I left him was just magical. I love how the dashcam captures all angles of his humiliation.

I will say the brakes are nowhere nears as good as my Caddy in terms of initial bite and overall feel. It could be that I didn't get on the brakes hard enough but in general they feel kind of scary and not great when slowing down from high speeds. Next time out I'll try some more aggressive braking to see if they get better with a lot more pressure. Having said that, the brakes on the V are probably the best I've experienced in any car and have 6 piston brembo calipers up front and 4 piston in the back with giant 2 piece rotors. The performance brembo pads on the V are excellent but will coat the wheels in dust within 1 drive lol. Outside of the brakes, the Plaid seems superior and I can't wait to enjoy it more.

Couple of minor complaints/questions so far: I was using autopilot/cruise control and waited a bit too long to respond to the warning about putting pressure on the yoke so it disabled autopilot for the rest of that drive. Is there no way to set cruise control without autopilot? I really have to stop the car and start over to get cruise control back? Seems odd and annoying.

Playing around with the boombox feature, I was disappointed to learn that the audio plays via inside speakers as well and will stop whatever other source was currently playing. Is there no way to turn that part of boombox off? I only want it to play through outside speaker and not take over in cabin audio.
What percentage is your tint around the car?
