I hope they don't the speed you're traveling at in the center of the display someplace where you can see it! That'd be nuts.Let’s get crazy and introduce steering wheel stalks! That’s some futuristic sh*t right there baby
Geography surely has a bearing, but production and logistics timing of trucks, trains and destinations also has significant bearing obviously. A car that missed the last train will catch the next one.Congrats. That’s awesome. An east coast order! Maybe geography has no bearing like we thought.
There sure is!I'm assuming there is an "R" in that VIN? Tesla can be sneaky...
Yes, it is the first VIN that they have assigned me since I placed my order a couple months ago and it is for a 2024.Joking aside, you're sure you got a '24 VIN?
OK, peoples, VIN assigned 5YJSA1E50RF53xxxx, 2024 model year, but they modified the order and charged me $2500 for the Ultra Red paint. Also, the Model S I told you about that showed up in local inventory few days ago that was exactly like the one I ordered was actually assigned to my order.
It was never on hold, it had never VIN assigned, they just went in and changed the order details to reflect new pricing and then assigned the VIN.Wait, so you had an order the needed need change acceptance and wasn't on hold and they upped the price on you?
Can they do that if you made no changes to your original order? It was never on hold, it had never VIN assigned, they just went in and changed the order details to reflect new pricing and then assigned the VIN.
Apparently they can and just did.Can they do that if you made no changes to your original order?
I don’t follow this stuff very closely but seems very un-Musk-like…Apparently they can and just did.

Agreed. Although Tesla has tried to pull shady sugar before, it did not stick. This would be the first time I've heard of this ever happening where there wasn't some special circumstance involved.
I have sent the message to ask for clarification. This would be the first time I've heard of this ever happening where there wasn't some special circumstance involved.
Did this happen to anyone else here? Anyone else still have their original pre Jan 16th price locked in?
Ah I think I was confusing you with @n2mb_racing. If you’ve never had a hold or rejected the vin then I I believe you should have gotten your original price as per the order agreement. It was never on hold, it had never VIN assigned, they just went in and changed the order details to reflect new pricing and then assigned the VIN.
I had a hold between jan 3-18, they also changed my priceThis would be the first time I've heard of this ever happening where there wasn't some special circumstance involved.
