Spoke to by DS today, not super helpful. My car is in Birmingham, AL and he is saying it won't make it to Washington, DC until second week of Sept. So right now I'm scheduled for a 10AM Saturday morning pickup. Keep in mind my car shipped from CA more than a week ago. So much for the two weeks to east coast. And now it seems like wiring harness will be the same.. argh..

@fallen888 yes. My DS said I'm in the third stage of the build which is paint.

1. Stamping
2. "Body in White" ??
3. Paint

4.....Profit. (South Park reference)

Buddy, given that your DS was able to tell you where in the stage of production your car was in, was he/she able to tell you when production is scheduled to be completed, and when the car will be transported down to So Cal?

I picked up my spacecar yesterday afternoon from the West Palm Beach, Florida Service Center. The team there was awesome. The delivery had 2 issues, but both were fixed on the spot (I definitely recommend taking the time to look over the car and test all features while you are there).

The image of the car on the screen was accurate except it had the old facia. I made a comment to the DS and they were able to fix that in 10 seconds. The bigger issue was the smart air suspension was acting up. When changed from standard to high, very high, low it would go to the new setting and then immediately reverted back to Standard. They got one of the service guys to bring a laptop with some cables and within 5 minutes it was corrected.

Overall just a fantastic experience. I will post pictures after I finish completing her look on Thursday.

I still can't believe the car was delivered so fast. From confirmation to delivery was less than 5 weeks. To those that are still waiting, hang in there. It's totally worth the wait.

Thanks to everyone here on this forum, I impressed the delivery specialist with my knowledge of the car and he mentioned how no one ever asks any of the questions I was asking. Even with knowing so much about the vehicle I still had him give a thorough "class" on the car just to get a better feel for it while I was there. Also, to make sure we tested everything to make sure it worked without looking like a neurotic customer looking over everything to make sure it was all in order.

Congratulations! TMC is great for Tesla knowledge! I also had my DS go over the car with me though I felt it was not necessary. TMC members often know more about the car then the rep.'s :)
The more I read and contributed to TMC the more I wanted the car and is probably the single biggest reason i did not wait for the model 3. :) Along with re-fresh and 60D pricing of course

In Q2, they let people confirm on the same day they order to help get cars done by end of quarter. Any option to get yours configured now so it moves quicker through the system?

Thanks for the heads up! I did go into the website today and am now confirmed. Thanks so much. It was a good thing I did this, because the sales person told me it was the last day to confirm for an end of September deliver date. Coincidence that this last one I also bought on the last day of Q4 in 2014.

A weird thing happened on the website - in the confirmation process it asks you if you're going to trade in, which I am. So I select the VIN of my current P85D from the drop down and it auto-magically populates the mileage, but it's about 11k miles more than the car actually has. I called the sales person who had given me a trade-in offer, and she had the correct mileage on the trade-in offer. I wonder if it's picking up the mileage of my original P85, but the VIN was clearly the P85D.

In any event the sales person said to tell the website that I wasn't trading in and she would handle in on her end.

Thanks again...you might have saved me a month!

I got the destination and doc fees waived too which necessitates accepting delivery in September. But when I confirmed the order last night my expected delivery went from late September to October/November.

There's no way they would let a delay in their own production void their special offer... would they?

Picked up my amazing blue car today! No rear cupholders, and got a wink when I asked about AP 2.0. My DS Jennifer was also amazing and gave me a box of coloring books and crayons to deliver to the children on the peds ward at LAC+USC (where our daughter is doing her peds residency). Some fit and finish issues, very minor, which they dutifully took pictures of and will be addressed at a later date. Second pic has Joe Torbati from OC Detailing in Fremont, who joined us for the inspection. He truly is meticulous!!

Wink about autopilot 2.0? What does that mean?

If t mean you have 2.0 it would literally be biggest news on this forum. Worth clarification IMHO. Hope I get a wink too
