Confirmed: 10/22, InProduction: Nov 6th, Transit: Nov 23rd, Delivery: December 5th at Rockville , MD

Took it out for a 100 mile drive on I-70. Tried TACC and Auto Steer. TACC was almost flawless. Auto Steer disengaged numerous times without any warning on the I-70 stretch from Rockville Delivery Center to Hagerstown and back. However, I was following the delivery specialists guidance to hold the steering wheel and it was easy to take control back. Loved the drive except for the feel of the regenerative braking. It guess I will get used to it in a few weeks.

I don't have mine yet, but I didn't like the regen braking either on my test drive. I dialed it down to the lower setting and it was like a normal car. However, I'm anxious to try it again and see if I can get used to one foot driving - saves energy and brake wear. I guess when you want to coast, you only release some of the gas. My rep says he always drives with one foot. Probably just need to get the hang of it. Good luck, have fun and be safe.

Electrician is coming out to install my outlet next week for a reasonable $450. Line needs to come from my panel in the basement under the garage and then up and over the garage door to the other side for easier charging access when I pull in head first.

Oof, this makes me sad about my electric quote. Mine has to be trenched from the back of my house to our detached garage, but it also requires a sub-panel (no room on the main panel). On the plus side, we're getting the garage wiring done nicely, since it's... not... right now. Also doing HPWC.

You're not alone, same here re trench & sub though I do have additional option to route the cable the longer way along exterior walls. not happy with two quotes so far - one very high, the other low but didn't feel confident about the 2nd guy. Will get another quote but will wait til new year, in meantime will see how it feels to charge at 110V - so far no problem to top up overnight since low daily mileage around town most days

about regen braking, I like it, it reminds me of strong engine-braking. It doesn't take much to get used to

back on topic, congrats to other recent new owners... and to those of you still anxiously waiting, you'll quickly forget about the wait when you first see your shiny new MS waiting for you!

Hey f-stop, I can vouch for price gouging from a few electricians when they know you are getting a Tesla. I went with one of the recommended Tesla electrical installers and they gave me quoted price range for different scenarios and of course they "accidently" charged me an extra $150 and I had to call them to get the right billing amount.

In the meantime, go on plug share and see where you can grab a coffee or do some xmas shopping to charge. I know Oakridge has a bunch of free Tesla HPWC if you are by there. Beats charging at 5km/hr on 110V.

On a side note, wife and I picked up our MC-Red S90D yesterday. Seems like the lot was pretty empty and they shipped a bunch of MS out to the rest of Western Canada.

yeah I'm a bit wary of "special pricing", I think the first guy who was recommended on the Tesla website was definitely a case of that. The 2nd guy was cheap but 1) was difficult to communicate with and only verbal quote and 2) said no permit would be required which I'm sure is false for my particular job. I may try asking a friend of a friend who is an electrician for another quote. but as I said not urgent right now...

Thanks for the tip. actually I've been looking at plugshare and checking out some of the nearby chargers for the past few months, prior to even ordering my MS. Already know of a bunch of stations in areas I regularly frequent, so at least for now 110V-only at home shouldn't be a big deal. Even had a chance to charge at the Oakridge HPWC during my 2nd test drive - it's definitely a convenient spot with all the HPWCs and other Chargepoint stations there.

If your red 90D was there on the lot already on Wed 2nd, I probably saw it there when I picked up mine, the lot was still over 1/2 full and I heard most of the cars were for customers outside of Vancouver. The week earlier when I was there the lot was jam-packed. So lots of new Model S owners this month in BC/AB, I guess.

saw your photo of your red & blue Teslas you posted elsewhere - was going to say "nice!" and also, if I already didn't see from your profile that you're from the area, somehow the photo is a dead giveaway it was taken somewhere in the lower mainland. Enjoy your two Model S !

The top Tesla recommended option was a bit pricey but my partner got another quote for his from the second choice and they were even more expensive. I understand rewiring the garage is going to take work, along with trench and relaying cement, but it's still a bit of a sting. Talking $2k.

Same here. I didn't like the regen braking during the test drive, it made me feel very uncomfortable. However, after driving my car for about one week, it became one of my favorite features of the model s. It just releases so much pressure and stress of the right foot, and makes me much more confident with those sharp turns. In my opinion, it's definitely something you need to get use to, but once you do, there's no going back.

I paid over $3K 10 years ago to get a 70 amp outlet installed in my parking spot in a high rise condo. They had to install a subpanel in the electrical room and drill through concrete to get to my spot. But I have long since forgotten about that expense and have been happily charging all those years, most recently a 2014 Leaf.

I'm one of those anxious waiters. My 90D is supposed to be shipped from Vancouver next Monday!

While taking delivery, make sure to check the under carriage especially at the front for scratches. Unfortunately, I found them after reaching home on the night of the delivery and am pretty sure they are not due to my drive way (has more than a three inches gap at the worst location). Its not a big deal and will certainly not keep me from enjoying the car but it is not something I was looking forward too (especially on the same day of picking up the car). My DS has asked me to schedule a service appointment to see if the service team would sand and polish them. Left a voice message to the service team.

Also the FRUNK makes a small noise around the right hinge that I am told is because of the washer fluid tube rubbing against the body. I have verified that this is the case. I was worried a bit at first but it seems it is designed that way. So no issues there

Why wait? Sounds like you could have it in December

Well FredTMC, I have plans to be away very often this Winter, with trips here and there, so I have the S scheduled for when I am sure I will be around.
Also, here in CT, the Months of January, February and early March the roadways are just horrible with all the snow, ice and de-iceing muck.
In this way, I spare the new S its baptism by sodium solutions.

Just pinged my DS, said that it will be ready for delivery on the 18th or 19th! That would mean delivery in just over a month from initially placing my order. Quick!

Ordered 11/17; Confirmed 11/24; In Production 12/2; In transit 12/6
