How'd you get the front plate off?

I saw the other post with the video, however he just yanked it off. I don't want to break anything...

I bought the Gator Grip socket, but its too big and won't fit
You don't need anything but a Phillips. The plastic housing is so flexible one side came off that weird security bolt without even trying. So I just worked the other one off very gently, it was shockingly easy. The 3m tape on the other hand...I made my bf pull that last plate off the nose while Ii had to turn my head. Then the remaining tape rolled off.

Well, I'm halfway through my delivery window on my tesla
My loan expires on June 7
200 mile trip to pick up the car (I've got to arrange someone to drive me)
No updates from my ds
I'd sure love it if they gave me some definitive times so I can know whether to go ahead and do a new loan and to try to find a friend to drive me
I'm really looking forward to having the car but so far the process has been a really poor experience for buying a 100k$ automobile.
To date every estimate has been missed and it appears by the time I have the vehicle the estimates through the process will have been off in excess of 100%
I've heard all the great stories of delivery specialist keeping buyers informed every step of the way
My experience has been the opposite
I e gotten emails every time mytesla was updated basically informing me of what I had already read on the website and that information appears s to not be accurate
I read that if you live 160 miles from closest Tesla store then they will deliver it to you.

Might I suggest your call your service center and speak to the delivery department about your car. Chances are a different delivery specialist will answer the phone. You can then request more info about your delivery and if you feel there easy to talk to etc request that they become your delivery specialist? it seems that most locations have a few and you are randomly assigned to one and can change who your DS is!

One of my friends placed an order 1 week after me and hadn't heard anything from his DS so yesterday he called and changed his DS to my DS as he's been very responsive and helpful.

Just decided to head to the park and try to recreate my favorite pic of my old 60, Blue Persuasion. It definitely was a more striking photo with the dark blue but...auto pilot. Lol.

I'll try to switch ds
I do want to pick up at the service center to get help with tax title tags stuff and get the walk through.
I was going to trade in a Prius but decided with lack of a price range on the trade in I don't want to drive it down there and be stuck with 2 cars and 1 driver.
I'm a little frightened to just have someone drop a car off at my house

The funny thing is, the dead palm in the background hasn't changed at all in THREE YEARS?!?

Man, I just tried again... tried yanking that thing off the bolts... they must have read all the posts, and screwed them in extra tight. NO GIVE whatsoever...

Hmmm...after I unscrewed the 3 screws in front, of course, I bent that cover piece back, and that's when it just came off the bolt on the left. So I bent it some more on the remaining right side and it finally just popped off the right bolt. Here's what it looked like after, not even much broken plastic to speak of

I wonder if you heat up the plastic...I pulled mine off in the heat of the day here in central FL, so it was above 90°, and since it's just a few inches above the pavement I'm sure it was hotter there. ?

Now is t this coincidence
I just refreshed my tesla
Low and behold the delivery window has changed from May 21 to June 4th to May 29-June 5
Odd to me. It's been in transit for about 2 1/2 weeks
Seems they should be able at this point to pin it down a little closer
Is it really possible it can be delivered on Sunday? Does anyone think throwing may 29 out there is realistic?

I might try freezing the bolt prior to bending it, so it just snaps off. I'll buy from freeze off.

It's already so pliable, not sure if the heat will do anything?

I already asked the service center if they would take off the front plate, and they won't do it for me. They don't have any waiver forms for me to sign, and don't want any liability for tickets, etc.
I'm quite sure in CA it's illegal for the service center / dealership to remove the front plate as well. As much as it sucks, from a corporate standpoint it's probably an appropriate thing for Tesla to do.

Yea, it's illegal here, however the LR dealer was able to remove my plates from my Range Rover - as long as I signed a waiver they had.

The service center in Portland isn't even open on weekends. The store and SC are separate there, they aren't in some states and pick up on the weekend may be possible. It all depends on your state.
