Wiki Model S Delivery Update

I see a lot posted about lack of communication from their Delivery Specialist. What do they really need to tell you? The car comes when it comes! They are probably dealing with hundreds of people. Maybe I'll find out since my order was just confirmed. Now the waiting starts...
Unless you are applying for an auto loan and need a better estimated delivery window and purchase agreement for application.
Or unless you are wondering if they can get the car delivered before you leave town.
Then there are other things like changing options and wondering if the refresh apply to your particular vehicle.
Regardless of the nature of the question, a response within 48 hours is a very common business practice and basic courtesy, which my DS has never followed. I only emailed him once a month since April.
The delivery window for mine just updated to June 18 to July 02. VIN# 1384XX.

Absolutely agree... Now you have a low vin (must have ordered in early April)... I am 1417XX (mid April order) so wow and you're in the same state. There's a disconnect somewhere, how some get their cars within a month and some of us wait nearly 3 months and no DS contact or feedback. I'm in the customer service business as well, the dissatisfaction I see typically stems from a lack of communication and acknowledgement, than the actual end resolution, not to say that they don't care about it (of course they do), but when you keep the customer in the loop and you engage them, their experience tends to rate far higher than one that merely received the same treatment. JZhan good luck with your car, but your window should shrink to the first week, typically what I see and since you live in-state, hopefully you're just a few days away and DS will be nothing but a small tiny bump on the road.

My VIN is lower than yours (1409XX, April 16 order date) and the MyTesla pages shows "in production." Yesterday I got a delivery window update stating June 20 - July 4. My original delivery date was supposed to be May-June. In fact, when I placed my order, there was every indication that it would be here in May.

However, my DS has been pretty good about keeping me informed and responds to my emails, usually within a day (which is reasonable). I traded my old car in and she was very helpful in facilitating that, even sending me home via UBER. I got to meet her in person that day. She has let me know of changes in my production status even though it doesn't appear on the MyTesla page. She also knew what the delivery window was going to be several weeks ago (when I asked whether my car was in production per the original May 20 production start date). I don't know, my DS is a "Senior Delivery Experience Specialist." Wonder if that makes a difference.

Folks who recently got delivery: How long does it take for the My Tesla app to link with the car? So far when I log into the app it says "No vehicles linked". I heard 24-48hrs from a rep, and I guess I'm somewhere on hour 30 right now.

I feel silly but am getting a lot of steps walking to and from my car checking the charge. Not range anxiety as much as range curiosity….

My App was working in about 12 hours.

My DS said 24-48 hours, however mine linked within 30 minutes.

After 24 hours I'd email/call your DS to get it working. They have to do something on their end after you've signed your paperwork.

Got my Car and took it 23 miles and then left it again :( but it will be worth it as it will get the 3m Paint Protective Film 3m Crystalline Tint and all chrome blacked out! Used auto pilot in morning rush hour through downtown LA, ahh what a relief, welcome to the future!!

Mine is at the detailer now so I'm content to use my App to watch the doors open and A/C running at times. :)

Quick question for those recently going into production,...
After production how long from when you got the production email did your estimate window for from the month and a half window 'Late X the Y" to the more specific "between June X to June Y" type window, and at what next milestone did it get even more specific (if the uncertainty reduced even more before you got a specific date)...
Many thanks to all who respond... !!

The web site window still hasn't changed for me. Still says "June - Early July" . I got a call from my DS, saying that we should pick a delivery date. I am picking up from the factory and I'm about an hour away, so it's easy for me.

If the factory tour is important to you, then during the week is supposed to be a much better option as there's more going on.
