you beat me to it. I had the same idea, only in mine I tried to use the whole VIN using the VIN calculator speadsheet instead of only the VIN sequence number.

The VIN and all of the rest of the associated data are from Timdorr's spreadsheet, which is filled by his form (see the #2 post in this thread). The only thing I added to the mix is the rest of the reservation numbers; those that have not reported a delivery window yet. They are all highlighted in yellow. Anything not highlighted in yellow is from his spreadsheet. That is what should be updated with delivery window/date/VIN information. I'll update mine manually, unless he decides to copy my yellow lines in, and then I can get rid of mine.

Good news Larry. Hope you get yours at the earliest date possible. I'll be on vacation in the BVIs until the 31st, so if it comes after that I'll be there.

Thanks Klaus,

Enjoy your vacation. I don't know to what extent that Ben can entertain specific date requests, but delivery parties are most convenient on weekends to accommodate those poor souls that work. So we're hoping we can get delivery on one of the following dates: Oct 27th, Oct 28th, Nov 3rd and Nov 4th.

Congrats Larry! I remember reading about the day you upgraded...excellent choice, and excellent configuration!

Hi Jake,

Thanks. I'm flattered that you remember.

Larry, congrats! Hmm... you folks in FL seem to be so organized and having all the fun! Out west (atleast in NorCal), we are so blasé about it all. Can I be an honorary member of your club?! ;)

Thanks.

Yes, we're organized. I'm the founder of the club. We've got over 60 households all over the state that are members, and most of us don't even have Teslas yet. About half of our members are also TMC members. I've tried to get Nigel to be president, but he's a very busy guy already. We'd love to have you as a member, but you'd have to be at least a part-time resident in Florida.

Larry

Hmm, guessing that vacation time share ownership isn't a high enough percentage to count as part-time residency?

For fellow TMC members in good standing we might forgo the full security, background and residency duration check.

Seriously, we're always interested in meeting fellow TMCers if they happen to visit the Sarasota area.

I verbally got my VIN number this morning. S105 for Atlanta delivery has VIN 510. Certainly won't make the early part of my delivery window which starts on the 12th, but still hope to see it here by the 18th, because I have an opportunity to show it at the AFV Odyessey Day event in Atlanta at Lenox Mall followed by a showing of "Revenge of the Electric Car" on the 19th and an Atlanta Halloween parade on the 20th. There is also a Southeast Readiness Conference on the 24th, but after that all is quiet for structured showings of the S in Atlanta.

Make sure you post if you are going to show it off. I will probably try to stop by.

Well, today is the first day of my delivery window and I'm getting a bit frustrated with the disorganization of the delivery team. I'm doing factory delivery so all the need to do is make sure the car is ready for me to pickup. Over the past week I've gone back and forth with my delivery specialist and been told it might be ready for pickup this weekend, then told not, then told possibly, then maybe, then not. So as of now I have no idea when I can actually go pick it up. I know they are trying to coordinate many things, but I would hope by now they could predict when a car should be ready for pickup more than 10 minutes before it's actually ready. Was hoping for a nice drive down from Fremont to Los Angeles this weekend but those plans have been crushed...at least for now. Who knows, they could e-mail me again at 5pm today and say come get it tomorrow.

DrComputer....our delivery window is 9/28/12-10/12/12 and we have no idea when we will be getting our car. I agree the most frustrating part is not having any notice. I keep hoping it will be within the delivery windwo, but who knows? I don't have any more reassurance about it now than I did a month ago, other than they have said it will be during this time.

An unprompted note from my Tesla rep today:
I’m looking at your account and see that November-December has been populated as your delivery window. This give me a higher degree of confidence for a delivery this year. I know our Delivery Team has been working all hours to get as many Model S out to customers as possible so it’s looking very good for a delivery this year. I would imagine that by the end of October we will have a better window for you.

That is rather concerning - halfway through the delivery window and no news. Especially for someone so close to the factory! Maybe because you are so close they feel less pressure, as you can swing by to get the car the moment it is ready?

Undoubtedly the delivery team is working crazy hours. Others have said it before, but I have no idea how Tesla is going to scale this up quickly enough. It sounds like they're working crazy hours delivering cars now and production is still 1/4th of what it needs to be...

More bodies. The marginal cost of a few dozen new employees is virtually nil at scale. The issue is time to hire and train them. This also is assuming that they prove unable to streamline the process and reduce the number of man hours required.

Absolutely, total agreement. As you noted the issue is getting folks hired and trained. That's what I meant by "in time". In 6-8 weeks Tesla is supposed to producing 4x it's current rate 100/week rate). 6-8 weeks is hugely ambitious to fill a ton of positions and get them trained.

SSL 180. VIN 116 confirmed delivery for tomorrow between noon and 1!!
The future arrives for me tomorrow:)

The carrier mentioned today that they had just recently delivered 5 to the MN/WI region. Love to hear that these are getting out there!

In September, I frowned upon posts that described reaching a hundred car deliveries per week as a daunting task. Tesla knew well in advance what was to be done and I was dead sure they were up to it. But now... with the ramp up "shifted a few weeks to the right" (as Elon blogged here), that should have given Tesla even more time to hire and train the delivery team, no? I get the impression someone seriously underestimated what it would take to scale up delivery operations.
