That's funny. I've had three different delivery specialists since I placed my order, and none of them have emailed me. And I've received two "out of office replies" from two when I tried to email them! I don't really care, but the contrast in our experiences is hilarious. My ds is really good with emails. He gave me a window today to choose from aug1-3 10am5pm i took first available so aug1st 10am i should have car. He said if car comes even one day sooner he will try to get it to me sooner
mine has not changed since the day I bought it, probably because I bought a pre production car.For those that have delivery dates, does your mytesla page say anything different than in transit?

Hi SpudLime - I finished production too. Does anyone have estimate of transit to Tysons VA? I will research spreadsheet in meantime. Getting there...For those that have delivery dates, does your mytesla page say anything different than in transit?
I got nada my friend. Who is your DS? Spencer Sims is mine and he does not respond quickly if at all.
Has he contacted you at all? My NJ DS contacted me yesterday to let me know it was produced, like if I didn't know. And to expect a late July early June delivery. Also to start the financing process on their site. I got approved in about an hour @ 2.9%.

Would you mind telling me what this means, this "pre production"? I've been around auto-manufacturing for years and the only context I know of for this is the cars we build for testing new features, launch promotion, etc. I've seen it mentioned in the Tesla forums world several times but I don't know what it means.
I'm particularly interested because I was told my car, order submitted on 6/12, would be ready for deliverly likely between 7/16 and 7/23. My original site change to "your car is scheduled for production" came around 6/15 when the VIN was assigned. My experience, and the tracking spreadsheets, indicates it takes 3-4 days typically for a Model S to complete production (most of that and lengthier delays are paint-related, I'd bet), so I would expect it to be in production around now (I live in SoCal so filling a truck heading to OC and transit time should be a couple of days) and that's consistent with what they said earlier this week. They said it is still in Fremont and it hasn't cleared end of line release, so today I asked when it entered production. I would've expected around 7/8, the first time they mentioned it was in production (on 7/9 they said it was in the frame area) during one of my calls. The girl put me on hold and came back to check the model and emailed me back that it went into pre-production on 6/18 - 3 weeks ago. Anyone know what's going on there?
They found a car that met my exact match that was already going into production, ahead of where if I started from scratch my car would be. So in turn, it is ready quicker.
I bought it on the 12th of June and it was in pre production then, but didnt end up going into production for a bit, thats about all I know.Do you know when yours had entered "pre-production"? There must be many meeting that criteria, based on the VINs I'm seeing in the tracker and their correlation to the production start, end, and delivery dates. Curious.

Mine ordered 6/1 and just got an email from da saying this
Congratulations on your Model S! I’m excited to assist you moving forward with your delivery. Your Tesla has not entered production yet, so we don’t have a confident timeline on its ETA, but it will definitely be between August-September. Once it does enter production, I’ll be able to give you a much better timeline. I realized in all our previous communication I never confirmed any information with you! Do you have any travel plans we should keep in mind?
Am very taken aback at this point .... Late July was the original target now aug/sept? Very dissatisfied now .... going to sc and discuss this with them ... with all the fast fast fast m3 news it would have been quicker to order a m3 in June.... ugh
