Clearly this is a minor issue, but in my experience new folks tend to get scared away from huge threads. Mostly I'm just concerned that the thread has nearly died, and I'm hoping to find a way to revive it. I really like hearing everyones delivery story, and to the extent that folks post their VIN info it gives my brain useful data to chew on in my spare time.
Plus, this is basically a short term thread with folks moving in and out as they reserve and then accept delivery. If delivery stories from a year ago are no longer relevant to the conversation there isn't any need for them to be in an active thread. Part of why I think it might work is the fact that the delivery thread for Multi-Coat Red is far more active than this one.
Probably that's because of the large numbers of folks who had been waiting for years, but to the extent that it helps to be a smaller thread it might be worth moving the first 500 pages of this thread into a non-sticky archive and seeing if we can bump this thread back to life. If it doesn't work its not like the end of the world.

This thread is officially massive, and appears to be dying. Maybe it should be locked and a new one created?
Massive indeed …. but the wiki VIN data is very important and new owners can crow about their cars just as we did in 2012.

5/31 - 6/14 Delivery Window People
Update for 5/31 - 6/14 Delivery Window people...
Spoke to our 'Inside Delivery Specialist' yesterday at Tesla HQ about the conflicting Production Completion date that we have seen. We were verbally quoted an estimated 6/5 completion date on Tue morning but received the 'Your Model S is headed to Production' e-mail Tue night and it listed a completion date of 5/29. He said that due to the Memorial Day holiday, the date in the e-mail was not necessarily accurate and to rely more on the conservative 6/5 date but that it still might be completed next week.
Strange that one day of Holiday would delay one full week but maybe the factory is getting a long weekend break which I am sure they deserve. So 1-2 more weeks of waiting but still hoping for an earlier delivery.

My delivery window is May 24 (today) to June 7. The email I received almost 2 weeks ago stated the car would be completed today, but was verbally told by the DS last week that it was May 29. But it was "live" in the app earlier this week -- so its possible that production is already complete, but final inspection and test drive put it into a different queue since many of us AZ buyers want to ensure we pay the lower sales tax rate that goes into effect June 1.
My tentative delivery date is now June 2...

I had also requested a 6/1 or later delivery and he said that even if it was completed next week that we would still be looking at something 6/1 or later given the final test and truck delivery. Ours still isn't live in the app and keep checking each day a couple times so am thinking it is most likely be 6/8 date he provided on Tue. Oh well, one can still hope...

My delivery window is May 25 - June 3. My car was completed earlier this week and put on a truck to Denver. That truck was supposed to arrive in Denver earlier today afternoon and my delivery was scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:00. Got a call from DS this morning that the truck driver is in Wyoming and says he has driven the maximum number of miles he is allowed to drive for the week, so he is going to stay put and start driving again on Monday
Now my car will arrive in Denver on Monday afternoon and I had to reschedule delivery to Wednesday morning. This sucks! On the other hand, I suspect I have a unique story behind my delivery delay :wink:

Sorry for your delay. My DS emailed today to say as of early this AM my car was on a truck in Wyoming...heading for the east coast...While selfish on my part I hope that my car is on a different truck and that the path for all trucks coming east is through Wyoming. I hope so too. I-80 through Wyoming is indeed a major east-west truck route. Chances are very high all Tesla shipments to east coast go over I-80.

Congrats!!! Just signed our MVPA today and looks like two more weeks right now for us.
I've a question for the group. I spoke to someone at Tesla on Monday and finalized our financing. He told me that my delivery window was next week through the first week of June. I don't understand how that is possible since I have not received a Vin number. is it possible to receive your MS that early if you live in Southern California?
