ahhhh, I left it in LR! Soooo, LR 19s are still all good? So odd.

I don't think the LR are all good. I think that they care more about Plaid customers than they do LR, and don't want them to be pissed off when they dont get their cars right away. Also just happens to uptick $4500 in sales numbers ASAP. The rest of us can just wait.

I'm really hoping the 19s in August are for new orders. I'll be pretty aggravated if they just start delivering cars with 19s in August.

I landed a unicorn! Busy work day for me, but pretty crazy update:

I had previously been matched to a Plaid Black/Black/Wood/21" on the way, but because I'm the persistent type, I kept calling around to see if stores in in Illinois had the exact configuration I was looking for. Just today a store near Chicago had a Plaid Black/White/Wood/21" up for grabs because the person who ordered it will be overseas next week and cannot take delivery before EOQ.

They pinged and the car was near Salt Lake City, destined for delivery on the 28th. More excited than ever now!

I'm so jealous. I'd take wood over carbon fiber if it meant getting the car sooner. They have equal weighting in my mind.

What did you do to pull this off? Are you literally calling service/delivery centers and asking what they have? Feels like such a shot in the dark.

The DMV was treating this car as if it was a completely new vehicle (like they never heard of the Model S) instead of a new year for the model. They made Tesla go through a whole bunch of hoops to be able to get them registered.

my SC in Orlando told me a load of BS then because they said they aren’t getting registrations until Saturday and I cannot pickup until Sunday. Cape Coral is further south than Orlando and DMV is in north Florida I believe. Did they give you a temp tag or a real tag being used? I’m transferring my tag.
