I have FSD, not sure how that's related to the Audio 🤷🏻‍♂️

Edit: Last night I spent some time listening. The sub portion of audio is significantly boosted by this new slider. If there's a 2nd sub, I wouldn't be surprised. The garage door was closed so I didn't want to open the hatch and inspect.
The car definitely picked up a few rattles with very bass heavy audio tests with the new slider. So this new slider has presented some problems in my deck lid. Im going to have to chase down the rattles in the deck lid now lol
My rattles are coming from the rear seat latching mechanisms. Got lucky when I put down the seats and the problem went away as I was having a hard time finding the source.

I know ghetto fixes are not what you expect from a luxury car, but maybe wrap that latch with some thin tape to stop the rattling.

This exactly is my conundrum. If it were perfect, without the ripped carpet and Yoke issue may be I would be more attached. Throwing that much more extra money for an imperfectly delivered car at that price point just isn’t sitting with me. If I let it go I would lose ~10K sales tax.
I’d try snd get closer to what you have into it and not eat the tax.
And lose $10k on the quickest production car ever to move to another car that will lose another chunk of change over time. This instead of waiting for Tesla to repair it at no charge. And it’s because it’s extra money…but that money is already spent and the LR will depreciate, or at best you would lose your tax. Again.

Wait, what?
if I had to wager I think the LR will hold up considerably better on the secondary market. It’s nearly as fast as the outgoing performance model, better everywhere else (suspension, interior, etc)and the same price bracket. There’s just a lot of buyers in that range.

As much as I love the plaid, my biggest gripe is it just doesn’t feel “special “ to me. It’s undoubtedly amazing in a lot of ways, but personally wish for the price, it had more differentiating features.

Yeah I climbed into the back of the car, folded the seats down and just put my hand on the rear most part passenger side of the deck lid carpet, and the rattle stopped, so it's in there somewhere. Hopefully I can resolve it without a SC visit.

Edit mind you this rattle was not there at all before the new sub. And it goes away when the slider is in the middle.

Wow. So I guess my delivery will happen.... another time? I'm still gonna go there and see if my car is on the lot (or if it was destroyed lol)

So simple! I didn't think of doing that but having the same annoying problem. Also seems to come and go as the temperature in the cabin varies - the hotter it is the louder the rattle.

Dumb question - I really want 2021.32.5. My software update preferenced is on "Advanced". Do I just sit and be patient until my VIN gets put in rotation? Is there any way to request it? I can't seem to even find any reference to the OTA update process in the new version of the iOS app.

Short answer to the bolded part - yes.

Long answer to the italics part - you could try to go to the SC and see if service will push it. There is no reference to "software updates" in the app besides the notification. Assuming "software" is still an option in the service, you could request service through the mobile app and see if they will push it remotely. But you might not get a response for a few days depending upon how far out your appointment is. Hence the suggestion to go directly to the service center (if it is close).

Thank you, sir. Though patience is a virtue, I may go down to the SC later today. :)

Really? You think an endorsement by AI is a strong endorsement? We all know 2021plaid passes them out with extreme ambivalence? 🤣
You serious rn? If so man, that's kinda mean. For the record, I DO NOT pass out endorsements freely. He is legitimately good. As people here may be able to tell, I cannot stand people who don't know their stuff, or who are repeatedly wrong.

On a more hopeful and exciting note, just received notification that my new 21" Signature Monoblock lightweight forged SV104 wheels (brushed black triple tinted) are ready to ship (and yes, they'll arrive way before my MS Plaid, lol! 😜). Picture these on my white MS Plaid. Let the drooling begin! LOL. 🤤🔥:cool:View attachment 704113

Those wheels look great !!
Uniden R7 (and I also have an Escort Max 360 in another car if I ever need to revert back). No need for radar integration with the AL-P. I've had some sort of radar detector throughout my years since I got my license at 16. I'm 52 now and have probably gone through 15 radar/laser detectors in my lifetime.

Do you recommend the Uniden R7 ? Or the Escort Max ? I definitely need one of those in this car 🌝

I woke up so see the storms from Ida had passed, so I decided to take the Tesla to work, even though my original plan was to park it till Friday. I got in and noticed I had 41 Sentry Mode events. We have a mouse problem in the garage, so I sat there looking through the files to see if I could spot it.

My wife calls from her car. "Don't take the Tesla! The roads are washed out, water running across the roads everywhere. Gravel washed onto the roads."

So I'm in the truck again today...

I'll deal with that mouse this weekend. 🐭
It's probably "nesting" somewhere in your car's sound-proofing material and/or chewing on your wires!
