I'm scheduled to pick up on Sunday (car supposed to arrive at SC tomorrow). I called today and was told my car now won't arrive till 10PM Sunday, and they would have called me tomorrow to reschedule had I not called them today (so.. less than 24 hours even though they already know it won't make it on time)

I have found that Tesla does not think about your life/schedule ahead unless you tell them. I rescheduled service a couple of times now due to parts not arriving. I had to initiate it. Their process is to wait until the night before and if the parts are not in - then reschedule. They do not understand we have lives and work around them.

No, IMO locks are useless--easily defeated

Agreed. Easy to get around. If they are not skilled enough to get around they will trash the wheel anyway.

I do not do it for wheels on the ground. For the wheel on the back of the Jeeps, I lock just so some jackleg doesn't think it would be funny to take it.

Dates continue to change. Regarding to auto insurance, im receiving quotes ranging from 275-375 per month. My previous car was a 2004 Honda accord lx coupe and was paying 95 a month. Are other people getting similar prices? I called geico, esurance and statefarm.

I just checked my insurance (I am with Progressive). I am choosing the highest deductibles ($2,000). $55.96 must be the monthly increase.

I got full coverage for my LR for ~80/mo with progressive. As a reference point since geography matters so much, my wife's 2014 Elantra is ~50/mo

Edit: full coverage... $500 deductible, 30 day rental car

I kinda think FSD, with all of the limits required , is better for the reckless plaid driver.
It is long term, but this is still beta so it’s not safe for Tesla’s image as they try to get regulatory approval. Can’t have careless drivers allowing / making FSD to look bad in this fragile climate.

@2021plaid I agree with all, except #2. First, it's not logical that 21s, with hardly any sidewall, would be "quieter" than 19s (both tires has foam, I think), and second, I think there was only one TMC member who has both cars and reported that. In their unique one off case, the difference could have had a bad 19' tire, or something else that caused his 19" equipped car to seem a bit more noisy, no? So, I would say there isn't enough facts and data to support #2, like there is on all other points.

These should be quieter 71Db for 73Db
