Model S Software/Firmware Updates

Is there anyone (with a MS) who HASN'T gotten the update yet? There has been no notice on my car and I'm just wondering if I need to do something.

I haven't seen the update either... I did get the the interim 1.15.14...

One change I have noticed there is now a "cancel" button when searching for a location in navigation....

I think they're pushing the updates in reverse alphabetical order by check digit of the VIN.

My TPMS error didn't hold it up.

Then I guess I just need to wait a bit longer... could be the hospital's underground parking garage making signal unreliable

So will my "In Transit" car get the update while on the transport vehicle? Or do I need to have it plugged in/charging before the update will happen? Just wondering if it will arrive with v4.0 even though it likely left with the prior version.

I really wish they gave eager owners a setting to get the update on-demand rather than to be at the whim of an automated system or a roll-out button pusher.

Have we all (myself included) moved from delivery anxiety to update anxiety? As the number of owners goes into the 000s, maybe there's a reason they don't want us all constantly clicking an update button.

Was told by service manager yesterday that the software update is being rolled out in batches. Smart really, keeps them from either crashing their server or, if it is a bad update, prevents the Jalopnik headline "Tesla software update crashes all of their cars at once, proving again gasoline is good."
BTW as soon as I read this thread I went down and check my car. No update yet. I thought I got past this feeling once the car was delivered :smile:

lol, I check when I get in the car. But since it is my wife's daily driver, I only check on the weekends!

Looking forward to her noticing the difference some time next week and remarking about it. At least I'll be up to speed from reading this thread.

It does not need to be plugged in to download/receive the update. Nor does it need to be plugged in to install it.

I think they're holding off updates for folks with Carbon Fiber and/or 21" rims.

It almost seems like it's going out LIFO. I picked up my car on Nov 28 and got the upgrade pushed to me on the 29th.

My S arrived today with v4.0 already installed. It left the Factory lot on Wed. AM. Not sure when it was finished being built. I suspect the update happened during transport, but can't be certain.
