Hmm, so as others may know Tesla state that a finance application is held for 90 days after being accepted.

Under normal circumstances this period would suffice as a lot of us would be getting our cars soon but Q2 is by far not the "norm". If like Elon says and they can "pull a rabbit out of the hat" and somehow we all get our cars before the 90 window then great, happy days!

If we go over the 90 days and chose to continue with our purchase when/if we ever get any updates from Tesla, then we'd have to pay a penalty for this delay as our finance applications would have expired and the new deal will be replaced with the higher interest rate and increased cost of the MY.

Point being, if the new EDDs are anything to go by then the financial term of 90 days will not be reflecting current unforeseen events.

Another kick in the teeth on top of everything else

Unless of Tesla do the decent thing...

Wahoo VRM arrived this morning via text!

Weirdly following the quote system from Tesla, they are not able to insure me 😳 …..

2 weeks to go, I’m like a kid waiting for Christmas to come!! Off to AliExpress and Banggood for tacky accessories now😁
Tesla are only an introducer to the insurance company, they do not underwrite in the UK.
I guess they get an intro' commission.

Any reasons given why they have refused you insurance. How will you handle the question? : Have you ever been refused insurance?
It's a very grey area...... grey areas with insurance cover.... surely not!🤔

No reason just “we are sorry we can’t provide insurance based on your answers”

You only have to answer "Yes" to the refused insurance question if it's because you've been refused for something like lying about certain circumstances. It's not if you have been refused insurance because you're too young, or you're trying to insurance a modified 1500bhp Lambo.

My quote with Direct line for me and the wife on a Model Y.

If it helps.

That's awful; they don't have the courtesy to explain. "Computer says no" such is insurance in little Britain:rolleyes:

That's good.

Hi, has anyone who ordered a MYL W/W in early April received their VIn's and delivery dates yet?
I ordered a MYL B/B in mid April. Initially I got a text saying 18th - 30th June, no updated texts since, though just checking the app, my EDD now says Sept 5th - October 20th. So I've no idea when I'm likely to get a VIN. Crossing all my crossable things that it might show up on a June shipment though!

I ordered a Model Y MSM / Black / Inductions in early Feb and hadn't received any updates from Tesla or Zenith (who are the lease provider for company salary sacrifice scheme). My order doesn't show up in my Tesla account so I've been in the dark regarding EDD.

It's been like trying to get blood out of a stone getting information from Zenith, and it was only after repeated calls that it became apparent I needed to complete a licence check. I hadn't received any email from Licence Bureau, so they chased it up and thankfully it arrived in my inbox within half an hour. I do feel as though if I wasn't pestering them my order may well have been reallocated (as I was told Tesla had apparently set a deadline of Friday last week to complete the outstanding information). I was then told I should await an SMS from Tesla to schedule collection.

I asked Zenith for my RN and have since been in the LiveChat with Tesla who inform me that I am indeed allocated a car which is due to arrive on 27th June and collection can likely be arranged from 28th June. However, they are waiting for the logistics team to finalise when the car will arrive at the delivery hub before they issue an SMS to me. This has reassured me somewhat and fingers crossed I will receive my order in this current batch coming into the UK.

I just wanted to post my experience in case others are in similar situation with Salary Sacrifice scheme and haven't heard from Tesla and fearing the worst about missing a Q2 delivery slot.
Just wanted to query the bit about live chat, I’m in the UK awaiting further information, when I eventually found the live chat icon the lady said she can’t help non us customers on live chat and I would need to contact my nearest dealer. I was in the GB site so found this very strange… any ideas anyone?

Revised EDD just now (from blank)

lost count on how many changes in EDD.. absolute bollox.. business purchase with zero visibility for me to plan and budget..

Looks like they can't make these Grey's for Q2 either..

So frustrating..

Easily explained, it happened to me last year. You were on the US web site and not the UK one. They will know you are in the UK from your IP address. Make sure you have the en_GB extension in the URL.

you can strikeout the above code :)

Was slightly worried after reading your post and called up Tesla immediately. Have been assured that the rate at which you are signed in will be honoured irrespective of when the delivery is done.
I am likely to cross the 90 day window and signed into 3.99% rate. The current rate stands at 5.90% and surely would need to think about the purchase if the rate goes up.
