I think this calls for another rule...I went on the webchat to try and find out some info on delivery... and Tesla told me that I don't have a VIN anymore, it has been unallocated
Then I received this follow up text...

What the hell is going on??!!
An EDD, VIN or Delivery Date don't mean Jack! The only thing that matters is if you're sitting in your car come collection day and, even then, how can you be sure that that's real!? How can we be sure anything is real!? Is it just me or is it really hot today?

How do you get to live chat, apologies if this is a high frequency question.
I did the same after a phone conversation left me more confused, Stephanie on chat confirmed that there is still a VIN
Stephanie has made me very happy by telling me I’ve been allocated a car

Someone else posted the following steps, which have worked for me:
1. Go to tesla.com
2. Click on menu and select United Kingdom / English
3. Scroll down to Model 3
4. Click on existing inventory
5. You'll see the chat button on the bottom left of the screen
Any luck with the above by any chance? It seems that some of us are only hours behind your progress…
