7/3 ordered CPO P85
7/5 got email ,said 6-8 weeks.
Started on my things to do on MyTesla page.
Got 4/4 items done.
Now MyTesla page is asking for payment.
Doing insurance quotes now. State Farm, whom I been with for almost 40 years wanted $1500/year.
Looking at Geico and Progressive.
7/13 - update
Received update today, car is in Houston getting refreshed. DS said he will let me know next week on timeline. I went with Progressive insurance as they were the cheapest. I also liked the way they treated my daughter when she totaled her Pruis. They gave her a check four days later. Great service.
Getting terrible excited!
7/14-update
I asked Brent if I can get some pictures of my car in Houston. He sent me five pictures and a blank copy of the CPO inspection form. It's quite a list of things they check. Hopefully not too many things will be needed to be addressed so I can get my car in a few weeks.
7/28 update- contacted DS , I stated to him since car has been in Houston service center they should know what's needed and a "ballpark" date for delivery. He responds back with they are way ahead of the 6-8 week timeline and are now looking at early August.
7/29 update
Brent just called me, my car is ready! Has to be shipped from Houston to Dallas for pickup. Might be as early as next Saturday! He mentioned they replaced the drivetrain due to noise on original unit. Now I just need a firm date so I can fly to Dallas and pick it up. 27 days from ordering to completing refurb.

8/2- got a firm pickup date of Monday 8/7. Got my plane ticket, pics to follow after pickup. Total time was 5 weeks + 1 day.

It seems that my timeline is closely following yours. Brent just told me yesterday that, "This time next week, my car will be done' and preparations will be made to ship it up to Ohio! He guestimated mid-August delivery but said the end of the month at the latest.

6/24 Ordered CPO Deep Blue Metallic S85D. Car in Atlanta, free shipping to Raleigh for inspection/reconditioning.Spoke with CPO Advisor. He told me 3-6 weeks.
7/5 Curious about status of delivery/inspection, so emailed advisor in the early morning. No response so sent follow-up email at end of days.

Going to be a long 3-6 weeks :)!

Car was delivered today. It will be 6 weeks as of Saturday.

Cannot believe it has 57k miles. Looks brand new on the outside (prior owner had it wrapped). The inside looks great too, except for the cupholder in the console, which they apparently forgot to clean. It has stuck on food and hair in it... I did not notice until I got home, so I will clean myself.

The motor has an obnoxious high pitch whine that randomly increases in volume, especially around 25-45mph, and seems to be the worst when I maintain a speed of ~25mph. I called service center and they are going to look at it in the morning. The guy I spoke with thinks they will have to replace DU.

How did the car make it past inspection if the whine is that noticeable? Sounds like they didnt even drive it?

7/1 : Deposit placed for S85
7/1 : Received automated "Let's complete your order" email
7/1 : Received automated "Thank you for your order" email with PDFs attached
7/1 : Received email from sales adviser. Email indicated they would call the next day (Sunday) and that I should hold of on financing
7/1 : Responded to sales adviser indicating I looked forward to the call the next day and that the PDF sent via automated email had the incorrect price listed.
7/2 : Sales adviser called. Discussed the following: 4-6 weeks for delivery of car is expected, ask was prior to Aug 10th (5.5 weeks); Discussed incorrect price listed in PDF, Sales adviser will enter a request in the system to resolve discrepancy; Process: 200+ point inspection, Week 1/2: nothing will occur, Week 3/4: Inspection completed along with any service items, Week 5/6: Cosmetic issues address, End of Week 6: Delivery; Completion of items on Tesla website; Q&A Session
7/2 : Received email from sales adviser. Email replicated much of the phone conversation. Email documented the ask for delivery prior to Aug 10th. "Tesla Post Order Packet PDF" attached
7/7 : Sent an email to Sales adviser - Asked if the Inspection Report can be sent when complete; Asked if pictures of car could be sent; Asked if the car has 3G or LTE; Other misc questions
7/7 : Received automated email that SA is OOO until 7/11
7/11 : Sent an email to SA with an additional question - how long the delivery would take?
7/11 : Received emails from SA - Inspection report will be provided at delivery as it will not be completed until then; Will inquire with SC to take pictures but after the car is back from vendors (it's already at a vendor?!?!); 3G not LTE (can install LTE prior to delivery for ~$500)
7/14 : Sent an email to SA - Provided a response on 3G vs LTE; Inquired on the status of the car, price adjustment and pictures
7/18: Tried calling SA.
7/19: Called SA. Price discrepancy resolved. Car has not started the inspection process so the process is already behind schedule. Sounds like there will be increased capacity for processing CPOs starting this week so the hopefully it moves forward soon (with high quality). We plan to discuss the current status on 7/25.
7/25: SA had indicated that if I had not heard from them by noon on the 25th to reach out to them. I got a hold of SA in the afternoon as I had not heard from them at noon and there was a long pause after asking about the current status. Instant feeling of being let down. After the pause (looking up information) the SA indicated that they needed to discuss the status with their manager which I was perplexed by. I interpreted this to mean that the car still had not moved an inch in three and half weeks. SA indicated that they would give me a call back once the discussion was over. I had not heard back at ~5:45PM so gave SA a call on drive home from work. SA confirmed that the car had not processed at all. Reason for this is the large number of CPOs being processed (that were purchased the first two weeks in June and are still being processed?) and an underestimation of how long they would take to process. It sounds like all of the cars are actually being transferred to a new facility and that they are bringing on new techs to handle the increased workload. I'm torn on if this is a good thing or not, not sure if all of the issues will be found and correctly addressed prior to delivery. It also sounds like the regional service manager is in town to help accelerate the process (and probably other things). SA indicated that a delivery within 6 weeks is likely not going to happen and that 7 weeks is more realistic at this point. I was honestly thinking that this is probably an optimistic statement but then the SA then followed up with comments that delivery by the 9th may in fact still be possible though we would not know until the last minute. What a roller coaster. SA recommended that we reconnect on August 2nd which seems like forever away.
7/27: Sent text in the morning to SA to check on status of car and follow up on prior discussions around combining accounts (accidentally formatted my email address differently when I placed deposit versus what I used for model 3 reservations.) Got a follow up call in the afternoon indicating the car has not started, however, the techs will be working overtime this weekend and she has requested that they start looking at the car this weekend. (SA can not help with combining accounts, I sent corporate an email to see what can be done.) It looks like the car needs to already be in mint condition if I am going to get it by the end of 6 weeks.
7/28: Recalled that I had noticed that the listing of items below tech package were missing from the MyTesla information. Sent a message to SA in the morning to see if they could provide that information. SA call back this evening indicating they did not have a good way to look up this information and that the information in this list can be wrong (sounds like it is common for listing to say folding mirrors and for the car to not have them). The original sticker does show the car having parking sensors. No update on the status of the car in the process. SA will be checking on the car tomorrow.
7/30: SA did not provide an update of where the car stands on 7/29 as we had discussed. Will have to wait until 8/1 for an update.
8/1: Spoke to SA. They went and got the car from the from other location and brought it to their location so that it could be inspected (a full month after the deposit was placed). Car has significant paint damage. Timeline is shot due how long the repaint will take. Discussed some alternatives.
8/2: Spoke to SA to better understand timeline and options. Car will also need a new drive unit and probably new tires.
8/3: Spoke to SA. Going to continue with the car but they expect that it will be another 4 weeks or so which puts it a total of 9 weeks versus the original 4-6 week estimate. Most of the time will be spent at the body shop as most of the car needs repainted. Car was taken to body shop first thing this morning. Received an email that the final paperwork is available on MyTesla. There is now a Make a Payment option on MyTesla and Tasks Complete changed from 4/4 to 2/2.

7/12 ordered P85. Located in socal and being serviced/delivered in AZ. 6-8 weeks and received pics a few hours later (!!)
7/19 car arrived at AZ service center
8/3 DS said car is almost done and ready to deliver next week! But I probably won't be able to pick it up until end of the month :( since I have to drive it back to TX and I haven't even started the trade-in or loan paperwork. I don't know what's going to be worse, the previous 3 weeks of waiting and not knowing what's going on, or having to wait a couple weeks knowing the car is ready to be picked up. UGHH :confused::confused:

It’s hard to imagine they drove it. I had a couple other people in the car today and they immediately noticed the whine.

In case anyone is interested, here is the list of repairs/work completed (provided by my DS via email)

-Rear Driver Window noisy when lowering, cleaned and lubed the tracks.
-Rear chrome applique showed condensation in front of reverse light, replaced with updated version
-Touchscreen bezel scratched, replaced
-Both condenser shutters (moving shutter that opens and closes airflow to the cooling system as needed) needed to be replaced, replaced
-5th annual service completed
-Replaced batteries in keys, new wiper blades, new carbon air filter
-All 4 tires replaced
-replaced windshield
-fixed dent

6/15 - Placed deposit
6/15 - Was told to expect a 4-6 week time frame
6/29 - Was informed car was "assigned shipping"
7/12 - Ended my Nissan lease and was met by Tesla with my loaner, a Hertz rental :(
7/12 - Was able to see my car in on the lot. Interior looked nice but could use an exterior detail job.
7/27 - Got voice mail that they don't have my Hertz paperwork and need me to sign another agreement.
8/2 - Called to get an update as an email I sent about status had not been replied to. Was informed my car is scheduled to go into the body shop next week. This sucks. I heard that last week. I was also told cars are usually at the body shop for two weeks which means I'm still three weeks out from delivery. I inquired again about a Tesla loaner and was informed there are none.

Mind is wandering again. Maybe I just find a private seller. Maybe I should have looked harder for a P85. Maybe I should just wait for the Model 3.

10 weeks is way to long to wait for a used car.

Which AZ. Service center? "if you don't mind my asking" I am due to pick up???? my CPO at the Tempe location on University Dr. My DS is for all intents and purposes SILENT!! I don't get anything unless I ask "sometimes more than once" to get a response, then it seems as if they are a little chapped when they respond.

The picture that is my avatar was the last known condition of the car I'm waiting for. It was taken by another MS owner who happened to spot it on the lot so HE took several images and sent them to me. I found out that the car had been there for 5 days and my CPO rep. or DS had not even communicated to me that it had arrived, I thought it was still in Palm Springs "where it had begun reconditioning" before it was decided to bring it to Tempe to finish the work??? whatever that means as NO ONE will tell me what is going on!!

Same location. I've had minimal communication with the DS or SA. I just decided to call both of them today since I haven't heard anything in 2 weeks. I got a hold of the DS and was told it would be ready next week.

Congrats!! Though, please report back on findings with SC with regards to the DU noise. I brought my car in for an alignment as it was pulling more and more to the right compared to when I first took delivery 1.5 months ago, and a similar noise issue. A "humming" around 25-35mph or at least that is when it is noticeable. Went for a test drive with the tech who confirmed the noise to be coming from the DU however indicated that it is normal though might need a DU replacement. He mentioned something about voltage leakage or something. The shop supervisor took a look at it while the car was getting the alignment and also indicated that it is normal. Indicated they checked fluids in the DU. While the car appears to run fine, that "humming" is not too obnoxiously loud yet so no work/replacement of the DU.

Just got an email response from my CPO rep. said car "should" be "deliverable"?? in two weeks. it also copied my DS in Tempe so he can reach out to me to schedule a "mid August" delivery. If all works out I'll likely see your car there when I pick mine up. lol!!

If you are going to take the I-10 corridor back to TX. Plugshare will be your friend for sure lol!! * If for some reason you do need to come strait east send me a PM and I can make my home charger and or 14-50 outlet available.

One full week into ownership any I’m absolutely in love with the car. Friday morning went out to drive to work and the driver door handle presented but did not open. Called the service center and they got me in and fixed the issue the same day with a Model S loaner for the day (shout out to the Columbus service center!).

We took our first small road trip to Cincinnati to visit family. The Cinci supercharger has an owner lounge complete with coffee and coloring books for the kids. Everyone had fun.

I’ve given probably 30 test drives. Obviously not great that the door failed so soon after taking ownership but it was resolved very quickly and the experience was very positive. If you are still waiting for your car hang in there! I’ve had a great experience

I was at the Tempe store getting a Wall charger and checking out some of the CPO cars ready to be worked on. I was even more excited hoping to see that Red P85 in the lot that has my name on it.. I saw a Signature there in your color @tccartier but believe its a loaner.

AFAIK The only Red/White Sig there should be mine. I hope it is not being loaned out lol!! It should be in queue to be further reconditioned. Was told it would be ready in two weeks a few days ago. If the car you spotted was plated with AZ. plates then perhaps is another owners car?? These are two of the pics that another member here snapped while he was there. The car was or "is" still covered with paint stick markings of the areas to be corrected, repaired etc.

Scheduled mine for 8/17. Hopefully you'll get yours soon. How far east of Phoenix are you located? Right now, the plan is to go north and take 40 since I wouldn't be able to make it to the El Paso supercharger.
