Picked up my car today at Paramus, VIN 631xx. The process is pretty quick and smooth, I arrived 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time and my car is already parked out at the lot before I arrived. I had signed 4 pages of documents before they take me to my car. I was able to drive the car out of the lot within 20 minutes.

Build quality seems to be okay since there are no significant issues that can't be fixed. only found some dirty spots and the delivery specialist was kind enough to clean them on-site. I did get double pane glass, upgraded taillights, and updated the door open button. However, the new glass doesn't seem to help much with the cabin noise, an air suspension is the #1 solution I would recommend for anyone who wants a better driving experience.

Overall, I'm pleased with the car's build quality and the delivery process. I would suggest everyone complete as much steps as possible online before your arrival, it really helps to eliminate most of the pain.

Congrats!!! I just got my VIN today :) and will be eventually picking up in Paramus as well.
What are some of the steps that you did onsite that could have been done online?

I am picking up in Paramus Saturday... so curious if my 630xx VIN will have the laminated glass or not.

Thanks! I finished everything online so really left me just some paperwork to sign. When I bought my S years ago, I decided to do the final payments onsite, that took me a while.

Just picked mine up this morning in Springfield and had my dad with me who is eagle eye when it comes to cars and we couldn’t find anything misaligned or anything. My brother has a 3 and a Y which had alignment issues and a few other nicks and dings. Also if you pick up from Springfield you will probably get an email saying you will only have a 150 mile charge due to demand, that is a canned message and mine had 280 miles or about 80%.

I was up at Springfield when they opened this morning to do a test drive now that they got rid of the return policy. Saw a trailer of spanking new y's being unloaded. Test drive basically sold me on it today. I have delivery slated for the 9th. I just don't big issues with the car and I'll accept. I don't trust tesla to fix stuff that is that big after I take delivery.

probably saw each other as I was picking up at that time. It was quick and easy I had a week and a half old new born with me and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

My sister is picking up the Model Y in Paramus.
Her account says she is scheduled for pick up on November 5 at 1 PM.
However she was never consulted about it.
It happens that this date and time is good for her but I’m surprised nobody asked her about it.
Is this normally how it is done?

From my understanding and my experience, no. They sent me a text with a link which included a window of days to arrange pickup.
