Picked mine up last Friday in Springfield. It was raining heavily and they didn’t have a covered area to inspect the car (quite annoying).

We found several alignment issues and even noticed the windshield is chipped. Some pictures below. We’ll set up an appointment to get this fixed- hoping they will be able to resolve. The overall delivery experience wasn’t great.

So is there any rhyme or reason to how long the wait could be? I've looked at the google sheet a bunch and can't seem to make heads or tails of any pattern. Is it essentially just a crapshoot?

well... everything signed online, they called my twice to confirm appointment (automated and an actual person) so seem to be all set for tomorrow - lets hope the car checks out when i get there :) already have an appointment to tint the windows later in the afternoon so i hope i didnt jump the gun

picking up in paramus?

Got scheduled to pick up on Friday in Paramus. Anyone who's picked up from there, can you give some details / advice around the process? I assume it's all contactless, so, what do you do when you get there? How do you sign the papers? If you spot an issue, I've heard some people say "they fixed it on the spot". How do you alert someone of issues?

Just want to know what to expect. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Picked up today no issues with the vehicle - got to Lawrenceville at 10:45 for a 11am appointment and got seen about 11:20 signed the dmv stuff was taken to my car then was out... funny I had to go back bc I noticed when I got home they never put temp tags on lol. Now that I’m thinking of this I don’t have a sticker on the windshield either .. I’m supposed to have one of those too right??

Replying to my own thread for future folks:

Picked up in Paramus. The walkthrough was:
1. arrived a little early. Checked in at the service center. Was asked to wait in the customer lounge.
2. Delivery associate came into the customer lounge and took me to a stand up desk. Desk has a portable plexiglass guard and we stood on opposite sides of the guard for protection.
3. Walked us through the DMV paperwork, told me about no tax and EV rebate in NJ. Also gave me a one-sheet to submit for the EV rebate.
4. Took me to the car. Fully unlocked. Allowed me as much time as I wanted (I took around 15 minutes). I took a precent decent look around, no issues. Checked inside, checked seats, trunk / frunk etc... pretty flawless.
5. Once I approved, we went through the sign and payment process. Did an ACH transfer.
6. Then walked me through enabling the Tesla app on my phone. Set up my phone as a key, and then set up my phone via BT with the car (didn't know setting it up as a key was different than setting it up to use with the car via BT.)
7. He then walked me through the console in the Tesla and general usage.
8. After all that, he thanked me, checked to make sure (prob. just for me) there was no software updated needed, and then left. I checked out some stuff in the car when he left. Sat in the back and checked that out. And did another walk around of the car while I was there and then we drove home.

All in all, this was an excellent experience. I wouldn't call this a contactless delivery experience, as the delivery specialist walked us through everything in the car and out, walked around the car with us, and was around the whole time, which was a good thing. I was expecting to be at the car by myself and calling someone if I had issues and having them remote open / start my car for me.

Kudos to Paramus and based on this experience, I would have no problem fighting through Rt. 17 traffic to go to their service center for any future service.

Same here. Picking up on the 20th, this was helpful. Thanks

No problem. I would suggest taking a black pen to sign the papers. Of course they will provide one, but, you know, safety. And, of course, download the Tesla app before getting there.

I did get a bunch of messages to pay and sign everything before I got there, but my TA recommended I don't, in the event I reject the car. I didn't, and it was fine. Took an extra 2 minutes to login, sign and pay. No biggie.

I’m glad you had an awesome experience in Paramus. Mine wasn’t bad but it was nowhere near as good as yours on 9/30. I was on my own. Had to keep telling my Delivery Advisor I needed more time. Felt a little rushed since it was the last day of the quarter and it was a madhouse. I didn’t let them pressure me into accepting delivery and making final payment until I went through the vehicle and documented my few issues. Nothing too bad and they’ve all been resolved. They didn’t provide any really useful information. They never told me about the NJ EV rebate or provided me with anything that would help me with it but I already knew all about it. I love the car. I think their QC and Customer Service are lacking a lot. I’m lucky my car was in pretty good condition without any of the major issues others had. Congrats on the new Car. Maybe I will see you around. I’m in Northern Jersey too.
