Ontario EV Rebates Cancelled July 11, 2018

Graham and his team from Bracer EV installed my Tesla wall charger today. Very satisfied. Communication was easy. Make sure you clear them a path from the box to the install site. They were efficient, cleaned up, arranged the inspection and offered to do the paperwork for the incentive. I already had it filled out so declined. 950 + HST was 400 cheaper than any other estimate I got. Great timing ready for delivery next Friday.

He was on the phone a lot. I think he said he got 4 bookings while he was there. The Model 3 push is going to be a boom for electricians who do this work.

Quick question: On the rebate form, they ask for a copy of the Vehicle registration. What have people been submitting for this?

I plan to take a photo of the vehicle registration and attach it to the email submission with the other documents (after reducing the size a bit).

You may want to double check the details, but I believe you can only claim this rebate if the car has been purchased within the last 90 days.

I believe existing cars qualify, so long as there has never been a charger rebate applied for for the specific car. Check the rules, I think its pretty clear from when I last read them.

My plan for all documents for both rebates is to create PDFs and attach those to the cover email.

Ah, seen.

It does stipulate the EV data being entered is on the EV rebate list......so that could still be an issue depending on the EV that is being attached to the EVSE rebate.

Yes. Read the rules, there are slightly different requirements when not claiming installation.

You're lucky. Mine took 10 days to arrive and I had to cancel one installation appointment along the way.

Just got two quotes today. I'm leaning towards going with BracerEV for the install. Both quotes were within $50 of each other. Bracer came in cheaper and they pretty much deal in EV charger installs everyday. I just ordered my HPWC as well so hopefully it arrives quickly.

I'm having a 14-50 installed and don't really see the need for the HPWC. It's just a fancy plug.

No. only HPWC 8ft and 24ft are eligible. and with incentive HPWC costs same as mobile connector and with MC you cannot go over 32 amps
