Many people might think voting for Trump wouldn't affect them but the destruction of USPS is an example.
The current Postmaster General Louis DeJoy was chosen by Trump via his all Trump-selected USPS Board of Governors. Like Trump, he's made to destroy the establishment. The more USPS is destroyed, the better he can benefit because he's got a monetary interest in USPS competitors and contractors. It would be great for him to take down the federal institution, strip it, and sell it out for parts to benefit his own USPS competitors and contractors. That's why he destroyed the sorting machine prior to the election in 2020 and refused to replace them, and among other things, refused to abide by President Biden's EV plan.
To reverse the damage, voting for Biden is the first step, the next is to fill the seat of the USPS Board of Governors with those who believe in the noble goal of USPS, and then that Board can vote him out and choose a USPS-competent Postmaster.
Don't expect any quick change. Destruction is fast, building up is not. It's not easy to remove the Board of Governors. They stay for their terms and can only be removed with "cause". It all has to have consented to the Senate and with a 50:50 situation, the Democrats have not voted with the rest of the Democrats at times.

Well, it looks like we are coming to the end of legal abortion in this country, curious how people on this forum feel about it
I think there are much (much) more appropriate websites for a discussion on roe vs wade than a Tesla car website.

It's time to plan how to transport to Canada (no Canadian law about abortion so their universal healthcare covers it) and Mexico (no longer a crime according to Mexico Supreme Court starting in 2021) for women medical needs that will be illegal in the US.
Since the Boring company is using Tesla, it might be part of the solution. The proposed Hyperloop will be able to cruise at 700 MPH so those trips won't take long.

FWIW, I'm on a couple forums where politics is prohibited or it's in a separate segregated area where it's a paid area or you have to request access. I've never felt compelled to want to pay or ask for access.
In some cases, some people are jerks, interjecting politics into a thread, thus getting an entire thread moved to that segregated area.

The meme is factually incorrect as the right has also drastically gone further right. Roe vs Wade, Jan 6th, banning support of political debates, lying about the results of an election, blocking the peaceful transition of power, collaboration between fox news anchors and trump wh, etc are all perfect examples of this.
and never mind the burning, looting, rioting and causing BILLIONS of dollars in damage in all the Dem led cities of Portland, Minneapolis etc etc. Never mind the continual censoring of information that isn't their narrative, Never mind the hate speech and calling people nazi's etc because of their beliefs that are not aligned with theirs. Never mind the discrimination that is happening by the left every day. Funny how the left thinks the right have gone further right while they completely ignore the left that has gone further left. On the right we have a persistent effort to destroy American democracy.

Lakefiller, you started this latest flare up by accusing the right of things they do not think are right moving moves. Roe v Wade is as much extreme righty as extreme lefty, and it is sad you don’t see that. Jan 6 was a protest, no different from all the BLM riots except fewer people were killed and less property damage was done. The “attempted insurrection” is a made up narrative. No one is “banning” support of political debates, that would take legislative action. Political power was transferred peacefully. News media collaboration happens on both sides, surely you know this.
Pew looked at this extensively in 2017 and concluded that democrats shifted sharply left in terms of their views on race, immigration, and the role of government in helping the needy. The figure on page 7 is most informative as it shows republicans making small moves to both the left and right on the issues while the democrats moved left on every single one. How much of that is a direct reaction to Trump given the 2017 end point? I can't say for sure.
I think this analysis is mostly correct and makes sense if you realize that the age of social media has given the progressive wing of the democratic party unparalleled influence on the culture. Progressives are about "progress" which is constant "improvement" and "change". Conservatives don't really move quickly on issues , that is why they are "conservative". In my opinion, 2008 Barrack Obama would be considered moderate and maybe even center right in today's political environment for what it is worth. If I had to guess, that is what Elon is talking about.
A properly functioning society has conservatives moderating change so that the good ideas coming from progressives eventually make their way into policy and the batshit crazy ones don't. I think the pace of change right now, mostly due to technological advances, is throwing a monkey wrench into that model.
